Who else have you talked to about a trike conversion?
Found something interesting. I test road a couple Indians at BigTex Indian of Denton Texas. I said I was just looking at maybe getting my last bike before I'm forced to a trike. Their response.? We can make that happen when you need to convert any bike to a trike. My jaw hit the ground.
They be about the only one that I know of in North Texas that do that. Every other dealer just said good luck. I don't know why so many are reluctant to do a conversion but I may have found a dealer for life. Life meaning I'm getting old and know it so that might be my last.
I've given them a another challenge and if they can make that happen, I just might be on an Indian soon.
I'm not betting on it though. Time will tell.

Just my local shops. One Honda and one Suzuki. I thought the Suzuki did other things but apparently they just like selling new stuff. The Honda dealer would do it but made it clear there would be no guarantee with the end product. BigTex seemed almost excited to have the opportunity. But who knows what really would happen if I pursued it. I got at least 2 more years on 2 I hope.
Oh yeah Clint, you are in Wichita. It was Eddie Hill that acted like I would be ruining a bike to convert it. That place has never impressed me though. Then of course Red River Harley only wants to sell a Tri-Glide.

You want to be a little bit cautious here about your conversion at a non-trike business. Just because they are a "motorcycle" dealer, doesn't mean they know what they are doing when it comes to converting a bike to a trike. I personally would not trust my dealer to have built my trike. I went to a specialty trike converter and I am well pleased with the results. Also, you can then buy just about any brand/bike you want and get it converted at a trike specialty business. That also makes things easier to license the trike and get insurance to cover it (that is part of the process also!). If you know you will be going to a trike in the future, ask questions and see how many they have built and talk to those customers! Bazooka, on this site, is a specialty trike builder and can give you more info as well (call him and just ask questions to help you decide). Once you go trike, you will never regret it!

Ahhhh, a hot cup of coffee and a good cigar, after a good ride.......
Talk to Frank at Bikes 2 Trikes in Ft Worth , TX, really knows his stuff and a very straight shooter.
I just had him go through my 2010 Roadglide Motor Trike conversion that had been originally done at the Honda dealership in Longview, TX.
It drives like a different trike after he corrected the install.

Being from Texas and all I think you would at least give this Forum owner a call for advise and possible work on your conversion. Bazooka lives just outside of Houston so not that far from you. He is in the conversion business.

Oh don't worry. I've talked to Bazooka and when it really comes down to it I'll be talking again. I just thought it was interesting that a new dealer is offering whatever a person wants really after seeing so many that could care less. Randy has even offered to meet me so not to worry.
