BMW, I will ask our techs in the morning to double check my thoughts on this. If I recall the Vulcan is a kit we change the shaft out on so let me get back with you in the morning after speaking with them.
BMW, it can be done but it is a lot more involved without dropping it down. it involves removing the left axle and swingarm assembly to access the rear driveshaft area. The driveshaft in that bike is a modified version of the factory one so an OEM shaft will not work.
While i was waiting i did exactly what you have described .i ran a bore scope in the drive line tube ,the front joint is bad for sure.So my next question is how do i get the shaft out and i need a lasting solution .Do i need a new shaft or is is serviceable
BMW that driveshaft will have to be replaced as it is a non serviceable unit. Any indication on what caused the joint to fail upon your inspection?
