Got a few pics of the pin striping outside-

Yesterday Mary and I went for a ride. Second time this year where the temperatures went over 80*, first time where we were riding the Tri-Glide.

When we left it was 75*, hit a peak of 85*, and by the time we got back home, 200+ miles later, it was back down to 80*.

It was the first time Mary has been on the TG, for any length of time, since having installed the Dual-Cool Oil Cooler, the CnC Oil Filter Relo, and the wind deflectors.

When it was the warmest I asked her how the heat felt...was it any more or less on either side? She said she could not tell. I asked her if it was warmer on the left side than it used to be (because of the oil cooler), her answer was, "It is not warm at all on either side".

    Wow, music to my ears!

Usually, when we are moving at a pretty good clip, the air is rushing past the engine and primary picking up heat. Then it hits the flat spot between the trunk and fender. This air then move up and hits her on her sides. She is not a complainer, but it has made her uncomfortable in the past.

It looks like by lowering the overall temp of the engine, & by using the wind deflectors, I have significantly reduced the heat she used to feel on warmer day!

Here are a few pics of the ride we took yesterday-

Looking down at the CnC Oil Filter relo at a stop...from the passenger perspective.

    Not much to report lately.

We have not been laying back, just nothing much to picture recently.

I put some Brad Penn Green Oil in the engine about 400 miles ago. Nothing stands out special about it right off the bat. Time will tell.

I had given up on the thought of anything special in the way of wheels, but talking to Clint yesterday has revived that possibility. Going to explore it further.

I did pick up some shorty antenna's. Even though I only use one, I thought it looked more symmetrical with two of them.

I also picked up a couple of tank cap medallions. They are going to be affixed the the polished Stainless Steel front fender mud flap (Thank you Richard).

Taped it up to get an idea of how it will look.

We still have a lot more to go on this project. Stay tuned.

I like that idea. Trying to decide what to do with mine. Sprayed it flat black with Plasti-dip last year as the plain SS stood out too much. Toyed with trying to spray it Blackened Cayenne to match the outside of the two tone fender...no decision yet. Even thought about black cherry plasti-dip as another option. My first choice would be the Blackened Cayenne and then have it striped to flow from the fender.

We have a few little things we've done with the Tri-Glide, and I have a few waiting on me to do.

Gotta get her a bit cleaned up (rode in the rain quite a bit last week), then I'll take some pics and get them posted up here.

Hoping to have time to do that today, or early this week.

One of the things we did recently was install some Rocker Lockers. We have done them on many bikes, but like the shoemakers kids, my rides seems to be low on the priority list on getting stuff done.

It sure is nice to have that top end noise gone!

    Got a few updates:

Here are a few pics of one of the versions of the soon to be released Outlaw 606 A/C.

Looking at these pics, I realized I want to add the Chrome Cover for the support bracket (that black curved bracket between the two cylinders). I think it will look much nicer with that in chrome.

This first pic is with the traditional EBS (External Breather System) that is mostly hidden behind the air cleaner.

These next two are of the same A/C, but with a catch can EBS that we've been testing out.

Pic of a cup holder I added for Mary-

More stuff we've done in the next post.

I've run my Triple Trap Highway pegs along with the Trap style heel rest on both my TG's for the last 5+ years. They are super comfortable, but just don't match the rest of the look of the Tri-Glide.

So they are retired, and we installed some new highway peg mounting hardware, along with some Fat ISO's and a matching heel rest.

In doing that I had to reposition my Stealth LED Driving lights a bit.

I like the new look, and the Fat ISO's are pretty comfortable.

You might have noticed in the pic above...the front turn signal lens is no longer stock.

Got some custom made DK Lenses...they will look better when I get an LED light behind them, but they still light up pretty well with the amber incandescent bulbs I picked up at autozone.

Last item for this update are the smoked laydown tail lights.

About a year ago I rode behind Trent on his Tri-Glide in Idaho. He had some smoked low profile tail lights and I really liked the look...did not like the price. lol

Got these for a nice price and picked up some interim red LED lights for them. I have some brighter ones on the way. But these are brighter than I expected...very visible during the day, and quite bright at night!

That's it for now. We will have more updates coming soon!

Kevin, just picked up a pair of red LED laydowns from Custom Dynamics along with their Magic Strobe that is made for 14-16 Tri's. It has 9 programs and corrects the strobe braking/turn signal conflict.

I looked at the Custom Dynamic options...too rich for my blood.

I'm not running any strobes, so have had no issues.

With all the lights I have, front, side and rear, if a cager does not see me, I think it's a lost cause.

Price really wasn't that bad compared to others, as I found they has some "factory seconds" for $99 apiece. You'll never know by looking at them.

That is a great price for the CD product.

Worked on a few things today on the Project Tri-Glide.

One of the things we did was to finally get the SS fender skirt we got from NHBAGGER installed.

Here's a pic with the stock skirt removed-

Already drilled the holes for the attaching bolts...now we're getting the emblem where we want it-

Since the back of these emblems are concave, we filled in the space (a week ago) with JB Weld, so that the back of them was flat. We then put commercial grade double sided tape on the back of the emblem. We also drilled a hole thru the skirt and then secured the emblem to the skirt with the double-sided tape And a sheet metal screw into the JB Weld. The tape would have probably held it by itself, but figured better safe than sorry.

    Emblems in place-

    Installed on the fender-

Heavy storms here today, so did not take it outside. Will get pics outside and post soon.

That looks super nice. Adds class to the whole trike. Are those going to be for sale?

That's a good idea for Kevin. He could offer them in various lengths. The one I run is longer than Kevin's, and you would not believe how often I can hear rocks hitting that extension. Normally they probably would have found their way back to the engine area or heaven forbid, the rear fenders.

I thought I replied to this last night...but it is not here. I must not have hit the submit button. Doing it again.

You may be able to get them from NHBAGGER, that is where I got mine.

I have only ridden about 100 miles so far with mine. No clinks yet, but I am sure it will reduce mud, gravel, road spray from coming up.

I have a ding in the front of one of my fenders from gravel on the Road to Bella Coola last year.

Here's a pic outside from Sunday.

Kevin, are you selling those wind deflectors yet? I've got the long ones that run down the forks and like the way they stop the buffeting when riding but you pointed out that they make the engine run hotter because of the blocked airflow. I saw the design you were working on that sat up near the top of the lowers in one of your earlier posts. Maybe you're talking about something else?

I saw the design you were working on that sat up near the top of the lowers in one of your earlier posts. Maybe you're talking about something else?

We have them, and they are being kitted up this week. They will be on the website late Friday night/early Saturday morning.

Great! I will be placing my order right away. Going on a 1,200 mile trip next weekend and would love to try them out.

Cool, I think you will be pleasantly surprised with how well they work.

Tomorrow we are testing out some new slip-ons.

I am happy with the look, sound and performance of what I'm running now...but...always on the quest for something even better!

I think they will look good...below is a pic of them on a Street Glide.

We'll see how they sound and how they perform.

We did a few things on Friday to the TG.

Installed a new set of Slip-ons for evaluation-

They look really nice. They sound great at an idle, and when blipping the throttle, very deep and throaty. I have not had it out for a ride yet...so don't know what the sound will be like when accelerating or cruising. More importantly, I don't know yet how they will perform.

    I'll know later this week.

Oh, and the billet end cap can be rotated 180* to change the slash.

Got a couple of better pics of the Cooling Deflector Wings-

We've been testing out this catch can set-up. We've been very happy with how well it works, and the looks of it. But I was still planning on going back to the Premium Discrete Breather that I've been running for the last 2 years on this TG.

Well, the look grew on me, and I decided I was going to run this instead. So I replaced the plain rubber hose with some black fiber braided hose.

When we first got this TG I relocated the Tour-Pak back 2.5 inches. *I did this by drilling some additional holes in the TP and the bracket.

Friday I went ahead and installed a bolt-on Tour-Pak Relocator. *It has 3 choices, 1", 2" or 3" further back. *I went ahead with the 3" further back. *So Mary has a bit of room, and I have a bit more room between the TP and the top of the trunk body. *The Relocator move the TP up about .75 of an inch.

After doing all that, I spent a good many hours washing, waxing and polishing the chrome.

Still have a few more things to do, but it is quite a different Tri-Glide than it was a few months ago. *
