Anyone using Target Tune on a stage 1 '15 or '16 TriGlide ? Just wondering if the supplied TT enabled map was close for your TriGlide or if TT Autotuning was done and if there were any real improvements at that point..

I use a power vision on my 15 Tri ... trike runs great and cool.
I have the Target Tune on my trike & love it !
It runs smooth from bottom to top end. I have done one tune with it. I sent my running tune to Jamie @ Fuel Moto when I purchased it & have only made one tune due to weather being so cold. I don't think it would be a good tune.
But I really like being able to let the ECM use the total range of AFR settings with the wide band O2's. Gives it the control it should have had from factory. But then the factory never wanted you out of the narrow band O2's range, even tho their settings took you there.

Thanks, good to hear, my question kind of circles around the map, as I don't have a good one to send them, so I have to use one Jamie will be sending me. I trust them totally, but am expecting that even with the TargetTune, the VE's of my specific engine will be off somewhat from whatever model they used to generate the map.... This wouldn't be an issue if I had done the stage 1 update, ran some Autotune basics with the PV and had a map to send them, BUT I had held off on doing the stage 1 until I had some miles on the TG.
Then FuelMoto decided to have a Black Friday sale, so I ordered the AC, Jackpot 2-1-2 and E-Series pipes and the TargetTune kit all at the same time, got the 7% BF discount. Thus, no map to semd them...
I think you are going to like the tune Jamie sends you to start with. But all it takes to do the tune after you have everything done to the trike is just run the tune feature just like before but with the True Tune. You just pick the true tune in the menu & carry on as normal, save that tune, reload the new tune you just did & run the tuning again. Try to keep track of the changes when you finish the tuning & when you get it down to very small changes call it good.
Jamie will set the timing quite close also. If you send a log run to Jamie he will fine adjust it for you also. They have great support.

scooterbum46, your trust in Jamie is spot on , I have been responsible for 4 individual Target Tune (TT) units being purchased/installed on not only my Trike, but other riding buddies. They had the PV with Auto Tune and switched to the TT right after I installed mine and all of us are really happy with the switch. Although mine is far from a stock motor, and I had a pretty good map to send to Jamie, it ran awesome without doing anything but I did do a couple of TT Auto Tunes (stacked) and like it even better.
When you install the TT, pay special attention to the instructions for installing the TT module and also loading the map Jamie provides as there is a specific process you need to follow in loading the map.
Good luck, I am sure you will really like the change in the bikes running/performance!!

Finished up the change of exhaust, A/C and mufflers, along with addition of the TargetTune to the PowerVision. Loaded the map provided by Jamie. Did not reduce the number of discs in the E-Series mufflers to the recommended number yet, still running all 14, which is about 4 above what is supposed to be the sweet spot for my configuration. Took the bike on about a 100 mile outing, running data logs before I do any autotunes. Wow - different bike. Bottom end above idle snatch just about all gone, pulls nice in 6th from 30 mph... Biggest problem is a hard leave in first may leave me with little or no steering.... Happy, very happy.
First mate may have to get used to more exhaust noise..... she's was a little touchy about the Street Glide's 4" rcX's sound level, and I'm not real crazy about loud pipes anymore, either, hopefully dropping back to 10 discs will help..
I have the same pipes as you and went down to 7 discs which sound pretty good, maybe I'll up mine to 10 though. I also ordered the Target Tune from Jamie today based on all of the positive reviews. My 120ST runs pretty good, but I am getting real crappy mileage with it; never better than 23 mpg and most times worse than that.
Hope this works!

3rdwheel, keep doing the Auto Tune process until your results are only about 3 or 5 changes and you are pretty much there with the tuning. If you still are getting the same or near same mileage, I would say to possibly look at the exhaust system for the issue. My motor is essentially the equivalent of a 120st as I have changed the 120r cams for the T-man #577's to make the bike have better street manners than the OEM 120r. I am currently getting about 34 or 35 mpg two-up with the wife, however, I do not beat my equipment up either - i.e. heavy of the right wrist, jackrabbit starts which most of the time will result in wheelies. I also maintain cruising speed at about 60 mph.
Good luck with the TT, I am sure you will like it more and more!!

When using the Target Tune-Auto Tune feature on your Power Vision we recommend starting with three 20 minute sessions. Between each session export the learned corrections and create a new map in the Tune Manager, for the next session re-enable this new map and continue to do so as you go forward. VE corrections will change day to day based on various temps & conditions, fuel blends, essentially anything that is relative, however we generally look for VE corrections to be within 5-7%. Also note Target Tune has as about +/- 40% closed loop fuel correction on the fly.

Well...add me to the list of satisfied customers for Target Tune!
Last night I finally had the chance with clear weather to do my first ride. But, before the very happy ending it was kind of a pain to install. My V&H true dual headers, the rear one, had the bung too close to the motor to allow the new longer O2 sensor to fit without some customization. I had to use a dremel tool to cut the metal sleeve back about 5/8 inch. I also had to remove the rear wheels, mufflers, and headers since the room to wrench the bungs tight while in-place was just not there.
It's all good though, got them installed and cables routed and then uploaded the modified file from dynojet.
I was a little unsure of the actual tuning process, so I read over the instructions a few times. After riding a while (in 37* weather), I did the "export" function and this product really does work well! The 120ST was running "okay" before this, but in some spots it felt a little "boggy", and not smooth or responsive enough in others. After tuning, I tried hard freeway on-ramp acceleration, normal 40-55 mph riding, and slow 1st gear riding - then giving it the hammer. So far I am real impressed with the difference. It seems smoother, with more responsive throttle throughout the full rpm range, and overall just woke up the engine like I thought it should run all along. The trike is just real fun to ride now and I'm happy with how it all came together.
I would also say that if I can do this - anyone can. I'm not a mechanic by trade, but have some tools and a computer.
I was looking forward to riding it to work this morning, and actually started out that way but within a mile or so had to turn around because even though the temperature was above freezing, the damp road had enough black ice to let me slip a LOT - darn it!
The Power Vision was used with the map that came with the stock 120ST. The Harley dealer dialed it in, but it wasn't perfect. They didn't have a trike dyno so I knew I needed to do something else to make it just right.
Just a follow up note - I've been running on the 3rd TT Autotune output map for a while, went on a fairly good ride today, checked mileage, getting 40 MPG riding two up, mixed open road and some heavy traffic. Cold idle is the only place I need to trim, running pretty fat until it warms up - map from FM looks pretty rich compared to stock map, but other than that minor issue, the motor rocks now!
My idle does the same thing until it warms up. It really runs smooth and strong in every area, but I'm still way behind you in mpg. Not too worried about it with this cheap gas. I called FM and they said a good base map is real important before the Target Tune.
