Gotta give you credit 2PAPS , Your a lot more patient than I would have been. Have these people done a number of trikes before or are they learning on the go? I just ask because the 2 places I've gotten trikes figure a week at most to do one and with an EZ steer raked front end on it besides. At leas they finally appear to have you on the down slope. Don't forget final pictures and a nice first ride report .....safe riding!

IRV, I only live 10 minutes from their shop in Deforest/Madison an about a hour or so from Vetesnik's home store and about an hour from the Roadsmith place in Janesville. I sold my Goldwing trike outright and decided I would get a good used Voyager or a Victory cross country tour and have it triked. I previously bought my Goldwing trike from Vetesnik. Vetesnick wouldn't do a Victory at all. They said they would do a Kawasaki since they did sell those but hadn't ever done one as trike. But when they sent me my estimate for a basic no frill's one color kit it was way crazy high as was the Janesville place and both without electric reverse or any options.

So I went internet searching and found Central NE Wing's-N-Things in Nebraska. Trikes are about all they do and mostly all CSC kits. They had my Voyager trike fully loaded that I just bought last October for not much more than Vetesnik and the other Roadsmith place wanted to just put the kit on a bike that I would have had to buy. Saved lots of $$$$. Wing's have just built a loaded red/grey Voyager and have another white/ gold Voyager plus numerous Goldwings right now. Joe seems to be a standup honest guy and my whole experience has been great, the trike is great. He himself and his partner build the trikes.I called him up, he sent pictures, told me everything that he knew was wrong with the bike/trike.

I drove out, road tested the one we talked about plus another he had. Bought the original one we talked about, , and drove it back to Wisconsin. Give them a look...Central NE Wing's-N-Things. The red/grey one is listed now on Cycle Trader. If you talk with Joe, tell him Dave Foley from Wisconsin said Hi and told you to give him a call. They have sent trikes all over the country and out of the country. They will also do your bike. safe riding.

talked to janesville dealer. was going to charge for the kit and NO labor. never done a vic. asked him why no labor.
said he was trying to get farther up the ladder w/roadsmith.
they opened last april. owners name is bill. sure could talk.
vetesnik said they would do mine. havent heard their labor price. kit is about the same as rsmith. both w/reverse.may talk to vic dealer in marengo il.

Irv, Weird for me but maybe good for you. Get it all in writing if you follow thru with either! Was the Janesville place Rock County Cycles? I don't think I have their estimates anymore but if memory serve's me they wanted just shy of $19,000 just to do either kit [Voyager or Victory]. Said maybe less because they weren't sure of the time involved as they hadn't done a Victory or a Voyager. Never mentioned free labor to me. As for Vetesniks that just plain piss"s me off as between their 2 stores I was a good customer. Maybe I pissed them off when I wouldnt buy the 2015 goldwing , motor trike for $44,000 plus tax. Last time I was out to the Deforest store they still had it...Duh, I showed them internet prices of 36,000 to 39,000. They wouldn't budge, and they only wanted to give me $17000 for my low mileaged fully loaded wing trike.I sold it for $24,000 to the first person who responded to my ad. That was ok as I didn't want another boring Goldwing 1800, Motortrike. I guess I'll buy my Voyager parts at Englehart from now on as being a returning customer didn't seem to make a difference to Vetesnik. Good Luck with your search. safe riding.

They are the std. mags on the back.

Armor Coat is a spray on product rather than a stick on film. It's clear and shiny when applied.

Thanks, if I don't get some therapy soon I'm going to have to take one of the consignment bikes out front for a spin!

Trikerbiker, you must be younger than I. This something that happens in a small shop even if they have been doing trikes for about 10 years. They only have one paint booth and one painter. When he gets the flu and works 3 hours out of the 40 hr week not much gets done. This is a fairly small town and they are the only ones who are certified to do CSC kits. The install would have been a week if it wasn't for a sick painter.

Our wx forecast is for low 70s and sun next week. I may have to get up at sunrise, hit the hwy and come home in time for supper a few days in a row just to get my head straight again!

irv, the kit is the Kruze by CSC. The installer is Hual's just outside of Pensacola, FL. Fortunately they are only 17 mi from the house and I'm retired so making a daily visit isn't too hard. Other than allowing the painter to get sick I can't say anything bad about them.

2 PAPS, I'm still a baby at 64, retired, so I haven't gained/learned a lot of patience yet. I am from a small town for 49 of those years but a "city guy" the last 15 and forgot about all the things that cause small shop delay's...... The main thing is you look like your gonna have an awesome trike! Don't forget pics and ride report. safe riding

talked to the vic dealer [randys cycles] in marengo il
fri afternoon. they are a csc, motortryke, lehman
dealer. found out they have done csc conversions.
they charge $1200 for labor on the basic kit. 240
for the rake kit, and 320 for the reverse. he figured
abou 80 for installing their tour pack. i dont have one
because its a cross roads. thehare are about 60 miles
from me. may go over there today. they do one heck of
a job promoting the vic brand.
keep those pics comin .cant wait till we see you on the
    road.

I'm just doing the front of the wheel wells and the area inboard of them to the point that the fiberglass makes the turn forward. I also did the lower fairings. I was going to do the tank but after talking to the painter I'm glad I didn't insist on it. Instead I had them put more clear coat on the tank to protect it from scratches due to chaps, jeans etc.
