How bout a picture so we can see what the heck your asking about!
If you are looking for the drawbar that goes into the receiver hitch, any Walmart will have them in their camping, RVer section.
Hope that helps.
"the flat bar that goes in the champion hitch"
As far as I know, it's a 1.25" X 1.25" square bar ot tubing.
Don't know of any flat bar that will fit in there.
Skip20 is correct, square tubing goes into reciever with a piece of flat bar welded to it for the ball to mount on.
In memory of my brother Steve....
Thanks,
i was told it was a flat bar that went in the rear, thanks again,
i don't have a pic of it,
Ray do you care if the champion is on a Honda or a Harley. I will try and get some pictures for you later (Wednesday) with sizes.
Stallion #406 // 2013 Tri-Glide
There is a member here[salty] and has one that he sent me a pic of his and it is a flat bar, he wants to use the carrier i have, but need to make a receiver for him to use it on his trike,
thanks for your help
The title of your thread says CsC trike kit, and you ask about a champion kit. I have a CSC in my driveway, and I looked at the parts list for a champion conversion on a couple of different bikes, and they all take the
1 1/4" square tubing.
Don't know what your situation is, but any trailer supply dealer or walmart carries the drawbar to fit them.
Thanks for your input
I think what Ray's looking for is not the hitch itself, but the reciever assembly it plugs into. Ray, have a look at the Champion instilation instructions on their web site. Section 6 of their instructions has the optional hitch reciever instilation instructions & a diagram of what it looks like. It's basicaly just a couple of pieces of square tube & a couple of pieces of flat bar which bolts onto the muffler hanger supports. I looked at the '08 & down HD kit's instructions, but I'd think they're all the same in that area. Ray, one of the reasons for the $160 price tag is it includes the trailer plug & wiring. Even so, they seem to be pretty proud of a few bits of metal welded together & a little wire.
NM
Nm,
thanks for your input, i'll go see if i can see what you are talking about,
thanks again

Ray,
Here's what you're looking for. It's a 2.5" x 0.5" x 20" bar of steel.
At 11.5" it takes a 4" bend to form a 2" rise.
Hope that helps.

Those voices in my head may not be real, but they have some really good ideas.
Thanks, that looks like it, did they put those on some of the trikes and not all of them?
Can't honestly answer that Ray.
I will point out that this a CSC (California Side Car) hitchbar and not a Champion which most of the responses are refering to. You titled the post for a CSC hitch, but you referred to it as a Champion. I think that's where the coonfusion is coming from.
You can't see them well in the photo, but there is a loop welded to the bottom that carries the hitch pin and there's also a threaded hole for a bolt that screws tight against the cycle bracket to eliminate any vibration.
Good luck.

Lolllllllll a mistake on my part, i didn't know what the csc meant, i was thinking it was champion, i thought they were all the same, grinn, but you sure have helped me out with it all, thanks again and all others too,
i only know vw'sm but guess i need to learn about it all,
My Champion has the square stock insert with a piece of flat stock where the ball is attached.
This is the factory one that came with the kit.
Gee Ray, I thought I sent you all the pics & measurements you needed And, yeah dude, as I mentioned...it's a Cal SideCar & NOT a Champion. rgds.
You dont stop riding because you're getting old. You get old cause you stopped riding
I can see why we are all confused. I own an '04 CSC conversion on a GL1500A, and the drawbar in that last pic is completely different than mine.
Mine uses the 1 1/4" square bar that slides into the receiver.
