WOW! Why did they wait till they got in a populated area to pull a PIT maneuver. Should have done that out on the country road earlier on.

Yep a great way to get others killed, by chasing him like that..."abort" the chase, better then innocent folks getting hurt, because of one guy guy speeding....Not worth it!

I agree. That chase should have been ended, or aborted, long before it happened. A high speed chase in a town(?), and the wrong place for the maneuver.
At speeds that high in Texas they use to shoot them off the road.

Those cops were nuts - endangering so many people. I am amazed no bystanders were hurt. If they wanted him so bad and saw the speeds he was willing to run - why didn't they just call for an air bear to track him til they could safely send units to apprehend him?

Spikes - yes. Block the road? T-boned with a 130mph hit? Only if the police vehicle were left alone as a sacrifice while the officer stood way away, watching.
