got a lot from members here but. said the hell with it and went to the stealership today. bought a street glide trike. you talk about freaky, damn. 25 miles to get home was freckin me out. never on trike before. this is gonna be good.:yes::) yow baby homer

Well, you did the right thing by purchasing a trike brand new, it has a warranty from HD and its an actual trike and not your present bike converted.
You should have had a pleasant ride, as most people do; however I can see that having not been on a trike or someone at the dealership not giving you some type of instructions before you left the lot would make it rather unpleasant. Be careful and find a big opening parking lot in your community and try to ride it until you get used to it before taking a long tide. I give you credit for a 25 mile white knuckle experience. Be careful and find a group of trikers in your community who can work with you.

Congrats Homer. Like we have mentioned many times before the first 400 to 500 miles is where you get the hang of the ride. As trike lady states get some experience in the lot getting familiar with all the function, then get out there and put the miles on.

homer im interested in your gas mileage when you get a chance please post

salesman said it would be in the mid 30's. have 395miles on it so far. they filled the first time and i've filled 3 times since but it was only about 4gals at a time. didn't want to end up walken.:)

expect in the mid thirties +/- wind load and throttle

My 2010 Triglide was getting from a low of 21.6 mpg to 27 mpg last year. This year after ditching the factory head pipe and installing the Fuelmoto Jackpot headpipe along with the SE255 cams and some tuning I'm getting between 33 - 36 mpg. This past Saturday I road about 3/4 of a 160 mile ride on the freeway between 70 - 75 MPH and got 35.2 mpg. If it would have been last year I would have been in the low 20's at those speeds and 6th gear. Maybe I got a stinker and others with 2010's are fairing better, be interesting to know.
