    Default Mufflers

    Iam considering changing mufflers, I feel like my Vance and Hines are louder than they used to be .
    The wife says they are to loud.
    I would like something a little louder than stock with performance in mind, or am I dreaming.
    I would appreciate know what others are running and there opinions.

    I love my Rineharts, they area little quite than my buddies V&H but deeper sounding to me

    Which V&H do you have?

    The Twin Slash are not very loud to me, and can be made even deeper/more mellow with some TTI's. BUT, sound is very subjective.

    If you already have some quiet V&H, like the Twin Slash, then you might consider the Fuelmoto Series E. They are really quiet...too quiet for me...but they are louder than stock and they make good power also.

    My opinion only....The sound is such a subjective thing that asking for suggestions is almost asking for a problem. I've never met a fellow rider that wouldn't tell you what pipes he has on his bike...so go listen. HOG meetings, Rally events, biker bars....everywhere. I think it's the only way to find the pipe for you. jc

    Yeah sometimes what one thinks is right for them isnt right for someone else, I have rode behind bikes
    that I had to get away from sound and have been told they couldn't ride behind me , its a game of give and take . I will have to do my home work Thanks

    Default mufflers

    I like the screaming eagle cannons. They are a little louder than stock, seem to give better performance and wont void your warranty

    I don't know which V&H muffs you have, but instead of buying new exhaust why don't you just re-pack the fiberglass inside the muffler. That is unless you are just wanting something new. Or maybe the exhaust was too loud new.
    V&H sells a kit to do just that. Most have a tail piece that comes out with just a couple screws that takes out the baffles that are normally wrapped with fiberglass.
    This fiberglass burns out or comes away from the baffle (unwrapped) after a bunch of miles and gets louder. Usually within the first 2000 miles+/- the sound will get louder & continue to get louder for the rest of the fiberglass life.

    Much less cost than new mufflers !

    I was just checking V&H web site, & the aren't showing the re-pack kit. You might have to talk to them.
    If they don't sell that anymore, you can get it at most other after market catalogs .

    V&H does have "quiet baffles" to fit a lot of their mufflers also. That might be an answer also.

    I have been thinking the V&H trike slipons because after 40k miles on my CVO cans w/ 2" Fullsac cores they are getting a bit LOUD and I want something new..
