I've been retired for 8 yrs, my hubby has been retired for 6 yrs, after both of us spending 28 & 37 years working at 3M back in Cordova IL. We traveled our winters in a 38 ft 5th wheel Raptor Toyhauler...Florida, Texas, AZ and points in between before deciding to sell our 6 yr old home in IL and live here in Sun City West full time. We bought a beautiful totally remodeled bigger home for less $ than we had wrapped up in the IL home, pay 1/4 of the taxes, and even with the higher price we pay for vehicle tags we still are paying less. We love it! Yes, it does get pretty toasty out here in July and August but that is when we will do a little traveling to visit family and friends and best of all? We never shovel snow or mow grass and the sun shines nearly every day! And we ride all year around!
Good luck with your decision on where to move to!
