Default Don't want to drill holes in fenders

I wanted to put mudflaps on my Tri Glide but didn't want to drill holes in the fenders. After remembering what I used years ago I finally found Gorilla snot ( glue to u guys) I used it years ago and never had a problem. So far these have been on for a month or so and are holding tight. I bought it at Charleston auto parts in Vegas. The behind the counter was an older guy and he knew what Gorilla snot was. Smear some one each part when tacky stick together and hold for a short time or stuff something between tire and mudflap to hold in place. I let mine set for a couple of hours. I think its a nice clean look. Mud flaps are 8" high x 10 1/2 wide.

I had this on a trailer for four years back when I pulled one with the wing. Sold the trailer flaps still glued on. Thanks for the reply. I 'll let u know if I have one come off.

I pretty much did the same thing about 3 years ago for the same reason. Did not want to drill holes in the fenders, but wanted mud flaps. Bought the H-D ones, stuck them on and they haven't budged at all. They have been through heat +100°, cold 14°, rain and snow and nothing seems to affect them so far. The only thing I did differently was put a bead of caulk around the edges of the tape to keep moisture out as much as possible.

Guess I should add these are rubber
Glue is the only thing holding them on.

Interesting, I would not have thought that glue would hold like that in the elements. Not wanting to drill my fenders either.

Thats tuff stuff. The felt lining in my trunk kept pulling loose due to the weight of stuff in the pockets. I gobbed a bunch of that goop on the lining and clamped it down with wood strips and c-clamps. It ain't going anywhere. Only problem is, the GG soaked through the felt and I have yellow stripes . MURPHY STRIKE AGAIN!

u could always use a little flat black spray paint to cover the yellow.

Really hadn't worried about it that much being out of site, I was just venting.
Since it's sort of a fuzzy felt, the glue matted it down, and paint would just make it worse. Black laundry marker just on the glued area might make it less noticeable, but thanks for the input.

Use a brush and ruff up the area just a little . But if you can't see it I guess it's no big deal.*

It looks about like someone poured paint on shag carpet, I doubt if it'll ruff up much, but I can give it a shot.

I didn't use glue on my mudflaps. I used a 3M tape made specifically for attaching trim to autos that I got at a specialty auto store. It's available in lots of lengths and widths and is weatherproof and sticks really well. Had lots of people tell me that it wouldn't work, but it has for 2 1/2 years now and shows no sign of coming loose, so I'm a happy camper without holes in my fenders!!

Looks ok if u want to look like everybody else. Now take them off and what do u see? SIX HOLES

I'll keep mine the way it is Different and NO HOLES to be seen ever, even after removal. To each his own, some have better ideas than others, guess we are just the difference between the same ol stuff and the new way.

I drilled mine also for the Kuryakyn rear flaps. That fiberglass is THICK. I'm not worried about cracking. Front Kuryakyns are held on with 3M tape.

If something goes wrong .... I'll fix it.
