Wife has gone to 3 wheels!

Never had a Can Am before. I ride a converted Yamaha StratoLiner with CSC trike kit. About a month ago the wife says, I think I want a Spyder.......she rides behind me usually but has a mc license from a several years ago. Well, we found a 2011 RT-S SE5, with 2800 miles on it, and yes we bought it! She is in love with it so far (2 weeks into ownership) and is looking forward to many happy days in the saddle.........now, my question is, not knowing Spyders at all, is there anything we should watch for, check on, replace, or add on? I know it's a big and very suggestive question, but I am on trike talk a lot and trust you guys and gals. Any thoughts......?

Hey there Juice and Mrs...!

Don't know a THING about Spyders except I think they look cool. I seriously considered a Spyder before I bought my Gold Wing trike. Spyders have a different look that I like.

Just wanted to say congrats to the Mrs! :clapping::clapping:

Glad to see another lady driving her own 3 wheels - I know she'll enjoy it.

Hope to catch ya'll again at the next Kerrville meet - don't know if anyone has gotten to thinking about it seriously yet.

The bluebonnets are coming - she picked the right time of year to start out...ya'll enjoy those bluebonnet trails!

It might be just me but there is just something wrong with calling a snowmobile with wheels a motorcycle. Just sayin'. I just know somebody's gonna put a track kit on it to keep it out of winter storage;);)

Really I don't think the OP was asking if it was a snowmobile or not. He wanted some good information on there new Spyder as there are lots of great info out there. ThumbUp

Don't worry Cavie, we will be sure not to ride with you and embarrass a HD rider (wife on a snowmobile and me on Jap junk, Lord forbid! We will stay around Texas and keep you safe).

ILighten up! I have friends I ride with who drive Spiders!!! By the way I drive a Jap Junk VTX Honda. One of my buddy's on the Spyder is the one who told me it looked like a snowmobile. Why does everyone have to be so damn serious! Didn't you see the smiley wink face!

I had one of the first Spyders registered in New Jersey... [08] And i can't tell you how many people would stop me and ask.. Did i convert a snowmobile.. Or did i make that myself ? Got pulled over by the police a few times wanting to know what it was i driving. And checking the registration... As a matter DMV question if i could even register it at first....

OK, didn't check you profile to see what you rode, but just went on your avatar, my bad. Also didn't look at the "faces" (although the first one is a Mad version and the next two are Winks, as I don't do faces:Shrug:. So I will just ride off onto the black asphalt down the road on my Yamaha Piano :D;). Yes I do love my Tri-Yamihammer ThumbUp. Doing these faces is kinda easy :wave4:
