the difference between a good trike and a bad one depends entirely on the integrity of it's builder!
WHAT no flip flops ,,,,
we all have our faults .....others point them out to us......guess we know what theirs are
Leather Boots when it's cold, but mostly I wear Hi-Top sneaker type booths. I'm not a fast rider, I just chill and look around a lot.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
Always BOOTS, leather jacket below 80 deg and denim above. 1/2 helmet above 80 , 3/4 below 80 deg. Seen a few trike accidents that I know they either wish they had better protection or did have it. That skin does peel off easy.
When I am gona fix something I will fix it. You don't have to bug me every 6 months.

ATTGATT for me. I have always worn boots for riding, and never boots with laces...much easier for guys like me.

I have a comfortable breathable pair of 5.11's with zippered sides. I still wear them 99% of the time and prefer them. Sneakers seem to be ok but I still like the extra protection of the heavier sole and the fabric support of my ankles.
I never dropped a bike......

I always wear boots and jeans. Current boot is the Bates 5" Tactical Sport with side zippers and composite toe. Great feeling, comfortable boot. I used to wear a Converse #8674 6" tactical boot. They were a great boot. Unfortunately when I had to replace them I found that Reebok had purchased Converse and screwed them up big time. The fit and quality of the same boot are piss poor. I took a chance on the Bates from Galls and really like them.
After being hit by a concrete truck on my 2 wheeler 40 years ago and living to talk about it, I am a firm believer in dressing for the crash. It will always be jeans, above the ankle boots, jacket, vest, gloves and helmet for me. The jacket might be lighter due to the temperature but I will always be covered.

I carry sneakers, rarely wear them. I Still prefer my side zip boots. They have mesh sides so heat is not an issue.
Leather boots [Steel Tip], All the time, Full face helmet in the winter, 3/4 Helmet in the warm weather' And Tin Foil hat when i'm not riding.....

Oldie but goodie
When I rode my Transalp I wore AGVSPORT jacket, usually the pants (suited up), it has armor for knees, thighs, elbows, shoulders and back. I wore my Army combat boots, old style black leather. Always wore eye protection. Never got on that bike without a decent helmet, full or 3/4. Wore shorty gloves too.
Same for riding cruisers, except it was jeans and leathers. Boots most of the time, yes, I hand tennis shoe days in town. Always eye protection, gloves and helmet.
On my trike, a bit different, this past summer, jeans, t-shirt, tennis shoes or hiking style boots, gloves, eye protection and helmet.
Now, this fall until next summer, I'm going to get that suit back out, it has waterproof liner and insulated liner.....or my leathers. Combat boots or, if it's really cold, my old black mickey mouse boots. Heavier gloves, etc.
I'm too old now to look like a bad arse
I also won't bounce like I use to, so all the protection I can get is important.
Didn't mention the Bad Boy air horn on my trike
IMHO going without proper protection is just asking for trouble! Now, I'm gonna put on my Trojan and go for a ride....
This is me with all the gear ... all the time ...
