Hey, Im from Nebraska...Going to be Starting a Trike Build!

Hello,
I have been reading, watching as many forums and youtube videos as I can....
Decided I wanted a Trike.
I currently have a 2008 Yamaha V Star 1100 Silverado.

As this particular bike is shaft drive, and few to very few make a " kit " for it - and I simply cant see paying $2 to $3K to have someone do, what I can in my garage!
LOL
So, I ordered an American Trike Kit - with Metric Body through Art in Motion.
I do need to send my swing arm and differential in to them. - Just sent yesterday AM.
I need to add wheels, modify the exhaust to fit...dual I'm thinkin' out the back...we'll see.
Paint the body.
modify the thing to make it mine...some how....
then...Ride it!

Yes, I see that you all like pictures, I not only have pictures...But also doing a complete video from start to finish on it

I have started, sort of....just stripped down to get the Swing arm off and send that and the final drive gears in.

Will start a "Build" thread with those pics, vid......

Welcome from an Illinois river rat, my daughter and husband just bought some property to build a home near Springfield, approximately an hour from downtown Lincoln. They are already hinting for me to finish their basement after its built so will probably at some point be spending a good amount of time there at some point in the future.

That it does Blade. I bought my HD from Dillon Brothers in Omaha and spent quite a bit of time in the area. Got some good twisty blacktops if you know the area, but in general its hit the throttle and cruise Corn Huskers style.

I just had a thought.. (quick! Duck and run!).

I am so new to the whole "trike", that I don't have it as yet...

I am "planned" so far ahead, I purchased a set of Cobra lo boy shotgun exhuast pipes... to install as dual pipes.

If they are attached to the Frame of the trike kit, and it's attached via the swing arm...shock...

How is that going to work??? I was just going to weld solid pipe in between, but....

There is flexible pipe... not keen on that idea; can't think of another way though...

Any suggestions? ??
I know...I need to read through the forums again. But don't recall anyone mentioning this.

Only the suspension is attached by the swing arm. The rear body work attaches to the frame. The suspension travels by itself.
