Ride-On Tire Sealant & Balancer

Just wondering how many in Tike World use the Ride-On Sealant and Balancer product in their rear tires. Also would appreciate sharing your pro's and con's

I never used it, But when i was on another Trike forum, They swore by it... And not just one or two, But dozens use it.. Some even said that they were able to removed their wheel weights with no ill affects

I use Ride On, have been for a few thousand miles, works for me. My big thing about this product, protection from a small puncture, but the auto balancing of the tire is a good feature as well. Reading the pros on the website, that read will sell you on the product. I suppose the 'con' would be when changing out the tire, bit of a mess, but it's water soluble and cleans up easily. It's a bit difficult to get into the tire, but a good clamp work around assists in getting the stuff into the valve stem. Some detest the stuff, some like it, some say it will corrode the inside of the wheel, I have not found that to be the case.

The fact of the matter, years ago when I replaced my 1st set of tires which had RideOn in them, my Indy first refused to change them. Citing having tried to change a tire which had slime in it.
Told him about RideOn being water soluble and I'll clean it up!
That's when I found out, if you dispense the product per instructions, then ride/drive the bike/vehicle per instructions to disperse the product, it stays in the tire. There is no mess when changing the tire

Can you use it with TPMS, or will it ruin the sensor?

Have used Ride-on in my last 2 Ultras and using it now in my tricycle. Love it. And contrary to what some are saying it's not like Slime. It does not run out all over the place. It creates a pliable butyl rubber layer in the tire that stays in place when the tire is broken down. It DOES NOT run out all over the place.

Thanks deputy, good response, there is hardly any downside to using this product that I can see. The info on the website says it will increase your tire mileage, I don't know about that feature, but I'm sure getting a lot of miles out of my BT45 front tire. In response to the post about TPMS, hopefully someone will come along to respond, or the answer is probably on the Ride On website. I don't have TPMS, so I've never been concerned about it.

Ride-On has an official statement about TPMS. I too had that concern when I bought my Indian Roadmaster and I wanted the dealer to install the stuff. At first, they refused but after I sent them this statement they did it and I've had zero problems. That's in among others that never put the stuff in there tires that have had problems. So go figure.

Front tire also Correct, no wheel weights needed

i use it in front tire only, without wheel weights-was not aware it was useful in rear automotive tires.

I'm completely satisfied.

More road contact on the rear tires, grater possibility of picking up a nail, Ride On would be good for that possibility.
