Default Stopping in to say hi!

I miss not being able to get on here at work in the down time. I've been putting in so many extra hours but I'm stopping that now. Weather is getting nice and I can officially say I rode every month since I got my trike. But I think I'm outgrowing it and it might be getting close to time to think about getting something different. If I can't I'm still happy with mine and will keep it. It still has only 8100 miles on it. I'm thinking bigger engine, a few extras. I'd love to start taking some 2 or 3 day road trips like to TN or the Ozarks. I'm looking at the Freewheelers. Something that will still fit through the doors of my trike barn (I really should have gotten a bigger one but live and learn lol). And something still in my price range as there are extras I want. I couldn't have done it without you guys and all your help. I am truly hooked. On my free time when the sun is shining...anything above 45 degrees I'm out!

If you decide to go new make sure you do lots of test rides. Maybe a used one if price is right ?I hauled mine 1800 miles from were i found it on vacation and saved a good 20 grand if you figure all the add ons the previous owner put on. Even used you can get a warranty or at least i did though harley. Shop and shop down south trikes are cheaper or at least mine was. Trust me motor size and comfort and add ons are big for me as it is easy to drop 100 bill on one chrome item or hitch etc.good luck and keeps us up to date.

glad to see you back on for awhile. You have a ride so take your time and shop around. Take some test rides at Harley Dealers. they have demo days.

It has been a while since you've spread some sunshine on us hasn't it??? Glad to hear you are getting out when you can.

The Freewheeler isn't quite as heavy as your Tramp so you might find the ride a little different. Especially with the larger engine to boot. As suggested, take your time and test ride a few different options. This next on will probably stick around a few years....

Hope to see you posting more often now. RIDE SAFE !!!

I'm like an old race horse..... I can still run the race -- Just ache more at the finish line and need more rest between outings.

I totally agree about the add on's. It's my experience that you'll be paying about 80% less for them on a used machine. Patience really is a virtue so do a lot of looking and find the perfect jewel. Good hunting.

I agree with everyone so far, make sure that you test drive several different styles, ALSO, don't limit yourself to the v-twins, you may be surprised at the used prices on a Can Am or Gold Wing. Don't go by all of the sparkle, but by how they handle and perform. Ride safe, and let us know how you did!!

Hi Jolie I read all the threads from when you were starting out and all the questions you had. I am so happy you're back. I had all the same questions and your journey helped me along with mine . Good luck with your choice. Take your time and don't settle. Carol

Hey..hey..missed you on the way to Florida..I guess you were working 12s, in fairness, I didn't have room in the trailer, as I took the kitchen sink South with us. Bruce and Debbie will testify to this! LOL
Do your homework..have a general idea what you may want to own, drive it as much as possible.
Do your homework..read how much service the trike you may be looking at requires..Don't want to own something that will be in garage all the time..
Do your homework..Riding solo as compare with a partner, will make a difference in what you get. Some setups are better solo than for a partner riding with you.
Do your homework...Speak to people who may own the style, make, and possible extras you want, to see what they think about their ride. Most people will tell you how much they like it, or wish they would have done something different to their ride.
I did my homework years ago, before I went and found what I was looking for, far from my home in NH, it was NC, where I purchased my trike. I have not been sorry one bit!
    Good Luck..

I love my trike but if I can possibly move up the next one will probably be the last one I have. I'm definitely taking my time! I want to make some road trips even if they are 2 to 3 days so comfort is a must.

Good to hear from you Jolie, glad your back posting and riding. Like everyone has already said, take your time and do your homework, ride every 3 wheeler you have a chance to, one of them will 'speak' to you sooner or later.
