However there are some issues that need to be addressed such as tire width to fender clearance, and rim offset to hub/caliper clearance, etc.
Once all clearance issues are in spec, you are good to go...
I know this seems like a simple question but, can you use regular car tires and rims on the rear of a trike as long as the size and bolt pattern is correct. Thanks in advance for the help.

Exactly correct. The wheels I found for my Champion were 40mm offset. I just added a 5mm spacer. Instant 35.
