    Default Directionals/horn and Brake lights

    I'm having a problem with the Right directional ( only the right side the left side works fine) on my GW trike. When I put the right directional on the rear brake lights acts as the directional the directional bulb does not light and when I step on the foot brake or hand brake the directional light lights, dimly and blinks but and the brake light goes dim and still blinks. The front directional works fine until the brake goes on the the blinking is slowed down a little but still is bright. .....The horn works...the directional and horn are on the same relay #8. I have changed that and it didn't make a difference...I have a trailer hitch and the plug for the trailer has a plastic flat like box the wires go into and out again I'm wondering if I should cut the wires before the box and see if that makes a difference? Has anyone out there in the Honda world had this problem and if so what's the fix....Deeply appreciated. Zorro

    First off, check all of the right side bulbs...
    Check to see if...
    a) the bulbs are inserted in correctly and not crossing each other and
    b) one of the bulbs is burned out and the filaments has dropped across the other filament..

    2) try removing the bulbs one at a time, and testing the brake and directionals
    3) you have a broken ground to the incorrect functioning side...
    A broken ground will NOT act like a dead bulb... the lights will start doing really stupid stuff, like you indicated

    My bike is an 03....I tried removing the directional bulb first and the tail light was nice and bright but when I hit the brake it went out the brake filament did not light and the tail light went off.....the front directional blinked normal. Then I removed the tail/Brake bulb and the directional did not light and the front directional blinked faster .. Today I order three relays to replace the numbers 8,9, and 10. tomorrow I'm going to order the two bulbs...I may have them mixed up now one seems to have a bigger bend in the top filament holder.....I might have to take the right light out and be more careful on the handling......Thank you for your help.     Broken ground wire to the left side (the side not working)

    Located under the seat

    there is one wire that acts as a ground for the ENTIRE rear end lights.

    That single wire splits off somewhere in the harness to the right and left.

    I would bet money that the wire going to the side that is acting crazy is broken.

    The wire starts in the grey connector under the seat to the rear on the right side next to the relay box.

    If you disconnect that connector you will more than likely see green corrosion on a pin in the lower right or left hand corner

    This ground wire is the wire that splits off in 2 directions. In your case I believe that the wire going to the bad side has broken.
