2011 Harley Tri Glide l Need help with rear brake mod

I have looked into this as well a change in my work statis as well as available oem parts righ now for me not going to happen. 2004 2006 ford focus rotors Sean on the forum did a real nice drawing about what needs done I believe done. It is located in this tread back a few pages Larger calipers I believe can be fitted but not sure where to get them or which ones possibly J brake. good luck in your search. I wanted to do the same no time right now I just slowed down a little more. ride safely fearless

There are several different ways to accomplish this task and they range in pricing.

Since the 2011 does not have linked brakes that makes it easier.

Start with the cheapest way to go... under $500.00
All of the brake lines need to be removed.
The OEM rear brake line is one piece between the foot master cylinder and the calipers.
A new dedicated line must be run from the hand brake to the rear wheels, or from the right front caliper to the rear wheels. You will be tapping into a front caliper to feed the rear brakes. The downside is that you have no secondary brake system.

Most expensive way to go is the K-Lever system.
This system is over $2500.00 but has that backup system.
I have a (virtually brand new) K-Lever system for $1,000.00 that was on a showroom demo in 2012.

Thanks for info.will proably try linking together. K Lever is alright except those ugly fluid tanks and no way to hide them.
