Thunder in the Valley is this weekend in Johnstown, PA. I noticed that there were more trikes this year than I have seen in the past 3 years. The biggest increase appeared to be the Boss Hoss Trikes with lots of women riding them. Fantastic machines with big block Chevy engines and only one gear - GO!:yes:

They build the Boss down the road in Somerset, and had an open house.

I'm riding the Boss' little brother, Triumph Rocket III.
At 61, I'm looking to the time that 800 lbs is too much for me, especially with the Misses. Plan on getting a Trike in a few years when I retire, and move to the Sunshine state, to be near the Grandkids. Would love to have two Rockets in my stable.

I'm spoiled with the power of my cruiser, and would like a Rocket trike, but I'm not seeing anything in the way of storage, for the day trips I expect.
They just came out with the Rocket in 2005, so in another few years the market may expand. I'd rather not convert what I have.
Until then, I'm checking out the Valks and GWings.

I agree...The Rocket would make a GREAT looking trike and the power would be awesome.

Yes, if you google.... triumph rocket trike .....you can see some photos.
The going prices for resale are very reasonable, but I will need storage. I'm thinking it will be 4 or 5 years before I buy, and by then may be many more choices.
No need to tell anyone here that trikes are a large and growing market.
I have a friend with a Can-Am Spider, and he loves it, but he never really rode two wheels much.
As people upgrade, more and more available. It really seems to be a buyers market on the resale end, for now.
Of course, with all us Boomers feeling our age, the demand for trikes will go up to. The market may flip in a few years.

There is certainly a wealth of information here.

Yes, trailer may be in my future.
I've had worse things happen to me.

How much storage did you have on your trike before the trailer?

Can I assume that if I get one with trunk only (3-4 cu ft), I can fairly easily add a touring pack on the back?
