Passenger Grab Rails

I was looking for passenger grab rails but most didn't look right or were outrageous in price. Saw these on a HD and went to the dealer near by and asked if they had any in stock. They did so took it out to the bike to see how they would fit. HHMMMM, might make this work I says to me. Box was marked $105. when I went out to the bike and when I went back in the price was $130. TICKED me off. Said I would be back later. Went to E-Bay and found a set for $70.00. Bid and won. Had to "flex" them to fit my fender but they fit. Also had to drill holes to mount. Hard part was crawling under the bike and reaching up to put the nuts on.
BUT, it's on, and looks good too.

Hey, looks great! I had seen something similar on a Lehman scooter. I've been trying to find something that would work on mine. Glad you mentioned HD, I don't think outside the box very much.

How does it mount? Just a bolt up through each end? Or some kind of plate or bracket? How wide is the mount at the fender?

How do you like that Ultimate seat? I have had 2 different sets of these and absolutely loved them. One was on a VTX and the other was on a Roadstar. They were the best investments I ever made on a bike. I wish I could get a set for my new trike.

Bolts threw the fender. Probably 2 would be fine, one on each side. But I used all three holes. I did have to "flex" it a touch to conform to my fender. Not bad at all.

Have had mine since 03. It's fantastic. The Honey would say the passenger seat felt like a hard thong. Get something different I was told. :yes:

Thank you. Although the mods look good, most are for comfort for the Honey.
