    Default More foot options

    On long rides I am finding it would be nice to have a few options for foot placement. I have the Roadsmith conversion on my 1500 SE, and use the factory foot pegs for general placement. I have always found the wide peg comfortable so never looked to change them. On the engine guard I have a pair of Markcum ( I don't think they make them anymore) board type foot rests which are also comfortable for 100 miles or so.

    Eventually I start switching from one to the other until I need to take a break. I find a break every 100 miles is about what my old bones need. Does anyone have a third option they use, meaning like two different style pegs to help stretch out?

    I have a 36” inseam so after a while it would seem refreshing to be able to stretch the legs out. I wish I could find a yoke looking peg to cradle my ankles into.

    I was just wondering if any of you utilize more than two options and certainly any recommendations to brand and type is welcomed.

    Now if my rear end would toughen up a bit I would be set.

    Weight bearing foot fairings, ie aqua shields as some call them, allow infinite foot positions along with lowering the your feet.
    A much improved riding position!
    I removed my OEM pegs a long time ago and really enjoy longer rides with my feet on the foot fairings.
    Added a Kury heel rest to assist with use of the brake pedal.

    I reluctantly removed my stock pegs and frankly, you were right. It will take a little getting used to but it already feels better.

    I also removed my kurry floor boards and the heal toe shifter. I think its the best thing I ever done .

    I started with stock pegs on the trike but then an old knee started kicking me at times ..... never bothers me on the 1200 bike? After one particularly bad day I bought Low Boy floor boards and very soon started modifying them in stages, starting with the H&T shifter making it a toe shift again.

    Now, I have forward floor boards on the guards, the low boy floor boards, or short abbreviated pegs in stock location that served as heel rest when shifting and/or braking. I got the idea for them when I saw how comfortable the right side was to prop my heel up and leave it at times ..... so I used the toe pad off the brake pedal that matched and welded it over on the left .... then used the toe pad off the stock brake on the new lever that came with the floorboards. Eventually I made my own shift lever and made it adjustable for winter vs summer boot toes.

    Last year I added a "Shift Brace" as well.

    I'm pleased.
