Suspension ?

I've converted about a half dozen Yamaha Roadstars with Champion conversions over the years and they made a great trike. I'm assuming that its a solid axle? There is not much you can do to improve the suspension by changing the shocks that will produce a less rigid ride. What will help is to lower the shock pre-load to a lower setting and the single best thing that consistently produces a softer ride is to lower the rear tire air pressure.

Maybe you have already experimented with this? If not start at base of 20 lbs of air pressure and see how that feels. You can go up from there, but it will decrease the softness of the ride. If you have any questions feel free to ask, or call me at (334)648-0157, I'd be glad to talk to you.
