Zammy,
I wish I would have read this sooner. I live just south of Chicago, maybe we could have got together. I've seen that diner on tv and looks like a great place. We love eating at joints like that. Hope you had a great trip and stayed safe.
We're up in the Chicago area visiting our daughter and hubby for a week and back on 2 wheels while we're here for now. It's a classic 77 FLH shovel and the daughter and son-in-law are riding the road king.
We went to a place in Kenosha, WI called Frank's Diner for some breakfast, it's been here since 1926. It was originally bought from a Sears catalog and is still in place, very nostalgic feeling and great food.
The wife and I split what is called the "Garbage Plate", lol what a name. Chorizo sausage, ham, eggs, onions, peppers, cheese and hash browns and jalapeños all cooked together on the flat top, it was delicious.
We'll be going to bike night at the H-D Museum in Milwaukee on Thursday night, I'll try to remember to get some pics for posting even though we're not on the trike.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting...Holy Sh!t What a ride!

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
That diner sounds like an awesome place. Places like that are few and far between. Nice pic of the place! Thanks for sharing!
