My cruise control appears to have quit. Does anybody have any.ideas?
I have to admit that I can not take credit for this fantastic instruction but it was so good when one of our members posted it that I just had to save it. These micro switches get dirty and will cause several issues; cruise non-junction is just one of them. I wash the road dust out of them regularly with spray silicone.
First identify the switch below the clutch leave ( Fig1.) with the screw driver identifying the screw to be undone.
Then identify the contacts and the pressure switch (Fig2) When the pressure switch is pressed in it causes the contacts to come together thus completing a circuit. (enabling the power to allow the engine to start whilst in gear). This will only be done when the clutch lever in operated.
These contact can become soiled and needs to be cleaned. Do this with a narrow piece of 3000 or 5000 grit wet and dry paper (pics 3) folded to form a doubled sided fine paper file ( fig 4).
Place this in between the contacts.(Fig5).
Now press the pressure switch in.( Fig 6) allowing the contacts to come onto the paper file. Move the paper file up and down a few times and withdraw it.
Just reverse the process of putting the switch back below the handle bars and tightening the screw.
NOTE: This same process is how to clean the switches on the brake handle side. There are two switches to remove while you are doing this.

Thanks ' Goldrush ' but l am not skilled enough to follow your answer to my question. I will take my bike to our Honda dealership, even though they are not happy working on trikes.
