Sharkbite.
On a serious note, it's looking good brother! Looks like it is healing pretty good man.
9/7/16 I was swimming in Highline lake just outside of Grand Junction, Co.
I was attacked by a shark. Apparently there is such a thing as a fresh water shark. They occur when a baby shark is release into a lake or pound that has some alkaline in it. The alkaline allows the shark to adjust to the fresh water. Since this lake is stocked, lots of food for the shark. The park ranger estimates from the bite radius that the shark is 4-6' long. They are still trying to catch and destroy it, but until they do, no swimming in the lake.
After the attack, my friend found a towel and wrapped my leg. He then took me to the VA and I needed surgery with 127 stitches, 48 External, the rest internal.
There was no bone, arterial, tendon, muscle or nerve damage. I was very blessed as my Heavenly Father had my back.
Could of been much worse.
The prognosis is very good, but there is a chance I may need a second surgery to remove dead tissue and put in a skin graft. This would happen if the blood flow to the area has been disturbed. There's a small spot near my sock in the first pic (if your not faint at heart) That the skin is starting to turn black and this area may require skin grafts.
If you are faint of heart, don't look any lower as I'm gonna post the two pics.
Figured I better not post the pics pre surgery, pretty gross.
Okay ...
since you were brave enough to look, I'll tell ya the real story ... ... I'm a klutz and tripped over my pool winterizing cart. A 1" steel square tube I wrap extension cords around dug into the leg. This created a meat flap the size of an open hand about 2" thick that required 1.5 hours of surgery to fix.
The Doc guesses I lost 1-1.5 pints of blood. I like the shark bite story better ... .. Don't have to tell folks I'm a klutz.

Let me understand all of this;
While carrying the food bucket to feed your pet pool shark, it jumped up attacking your leg. While the shark was trying to pull you in, you grabbed a square steel object in reach, started beating the head of the critter till he let go.

HAW...and I thought that you had finally come to the dark side and got a Roadglide Trike...AKA "Shark"
FYI...I WAS having trouble understanding how a 4-6 inch long shark could put a bite on you like that...and then I got to the bottom and realized I had been had twice in one thread
