Googled trike info when starting to learn about trikes.

Except that we were dead-set on a GL1800 we needed to know SO much about the trike part of it..found it all, right here.

Also found a community of folks we thought had almost disappeared...

friendly, helpful, fun, understanding, and patient.

THANK YOU Zook for this website!!!!!!!

When I first saw pictures of the Freewheeler I knew I wanted one when they became available only if I could ride it past the gas meter into my motorcycle garage. The local dealer didn't have one in stock, so I searched the internet and found TT. I received immediate responses to my question along with friendly encouragement so I decided to stick around.

Thanks for a wonderful place for a trike beginner to gather information and ask questions.

At the time I found this site we were thinking about a HD Trike and this site had MORE info then any other site I could find. I had 7 Harley's up till that time and wasn't sure if I wanted a Trike from HD or a conversion. I came close to buy a New Hannigan until a friend of our rode up on his New HD 14 trike and let me take it for a spin. Then the hunt was over and I just stuck with you guys because if the friendly guys and girls on here PLUS the info from others. I plan to stick with you for a long while yet. I might not be on here everyday but I try to get on at least 4 times a week.

I joined when I first triked my 2004 Wing. I appreciated the folks on this site who have so much experience and KNOWLEDGE about bikes and trikes. I soon learned not to ever post anything negative about a Harley on the Harley site, even though I owned one and have owned many in my years of riding, without being ripped by members who view that site.

Other than that in the years that I have been a member I have greatly appreciated the suggestions and information that I have found here. There are so many great folks and the vast majority of us like to help others. Also, the many manufacturers that post here provide so much information concerning their products, which is also extremely helpful. Some sites come and go, but I think Triketalk will be around for a long time. At least I hope so.

To be honest I can't remember how I stumbled across TT, just glad I did. And even happier the get together is in Ocala Florida this year as that's right in my back yard. If I can help anybody with anything I'll be happy to do it. PM me.

Default What Made You Join Trike Talk Forum

I belonged to another Goldwing forum for about 5 years prior to joining Trike Talk. About 2 years ago, I knew the time was getting close to convert to 3 wheels.

I started a research mission on the other forum but quickly realized that the information seemed "thin and inconsistent".

I googled searched the subject of trikes and ended up on Trike Talk as a guest viewer for a number of weeks. It was Trike Talk's diverse presentation of topics both related and unrelated to trikes that made the forum stand out to me. The warm welcome after my first post was incredible.

Then their is the lighter side to the Forum with the many postings of Rhino2 and many others that I realized Trike Talk is a fun place to be.

I have had the opportunity to speak with many of Trike Talk's members by phone, private mail and visits.

I started posting various polls and threads in my search for the various trike kits that would work for me. I made my final trike kit decisions just recently based on the input and guidance of the many experienced and knowledgeable folks here on this forum.

I had seen an episode of Americas got talent and watched a very good magician do some amazing card tricks, and decided I would like to learn how to do card tricks. I started searching the net for Magic forums, and Trike Talk popped up. I thought this was a Magic forum....Trick Talk. Then I put my glasses back on.

Actually even before I had purchased my Tri-Glide I started looking for Trike Forums to join to get some information from end users. Trike Talk was the first and second site that popped up.

I was looking for an answer to a trike problem I was experiencing. I searched google and found the color blue and the answer to my question. Trike Talk presents and represents everything I respect and enjoy about a community of enthusiasts. It runs the gambit of divided interests that captures all walks of life. Its layout and diversity is genius, definitely unmatched on the web. Did I mention I like blue so didn't need to change my display settings.

I came from a spyder forum....god forbid you were critical of the spyder for any reason. You would be attacked by the forum groupies. That was while i had my spyder...lol.....so imagine once I changed rides how it got to be. Endless drama unless you held the line. Political threads there always ended with the thread being shut down.....

Haven't seen any of that here and with many different rides on this forum, there seems to be a lot more respect for everyone.
Just a lot more fun and less drama here...So y'all are stuck with me.....for now...

After a break of over 15 years, I restarted motorcycling last year with a Wide Glide, had a lot of fun and made 7500 miles in this year.

But this Easter, I had a problem with my sense of balance - no more motorcycling - but I don’t wanted to give it up.

This lead me to a trike and because I liked my Wide Glide, it lead me into a Tri Glide Ultra.

I am member of a German Harley Davidson forum, but it seems, that I am the only one triker there and also seems trikes are a rare species here in Germany, particular the bike conversions.

Google was my friend and lead me to this nice place in the web, where it is very colorful because of all the different types of trikes represented and it is a very pleasant atmosphere.

Why is this such a pleasant peace of web?

Remember the three requirements for a triker - elder / disabled / female

I think because of the many elder people here, they bring their good manners from the real world in this virtual space and I like this!

I can’t participate in all boards here, because of my lack of knowledge about the american way of life, actual social topics and politics, besides that you elect a new president in the near future and the other things, that appear in our news and newspaper, and sometimes the limits of my English (reading and writing here is a good training).

But that does not matter, I like this place and got a lot of profit, thanks for this!

A riding buddy told me about this site. The people here are Great and friendly. Nobody tries to put you down. I've been on other sites they don't seem to be as friendly. This site has a wide selection of subjects and I enjoy the "Whats for Supper" and BBQ Grilling forum the most.

Keep doing what your doing, this is a Great site.

The American and German people may have differences in our cultures but we both have the same love of two and three wheels,so that makes us all brothers and sisters in our hearts and souls.

I was a member of a motorcycle forum that was 99.9% two wheelers. After we triked our ride I was looking for a trike forum and in looking up another trike forum a friend suggested I found Trike Talk. I liked the respect everyone on here has for one another even with all the different brands of rides, opinions on things and backgrounds.

Trike Talk is simply the best forum going!!!

    Default Why join another site?

Looking for 2 things in particular.

1: It wasn't eat up with someone wanting to sell me something.

2: The riders had an IQ higher than their shoe size, asked valuable questions and gave good and useful answers.

    Haven't been disappointed yet!
