Gave up on tv about 3 years ago. The satellite tv was almost 100 a month. Only thing I watched was the Yankees and the news. I don't miss the sports and I can watch the news in the diner when I'm eating breakfast.

Winter is usually my busy months. Too dang hot here in the summer. If I turn on the TV my day is shot. I have got where I hate to listen to the news. A little good bluegrass music will keep me going all day. Jim

Winter is always to long around here. The only thing that makes it bearable is days the temp gets above freezing so I can take the trike out for a short ride.

The news of the first cool front coming through here next week is a big deal around here. It's still in the 90's and if you add in the humidity, it feels closer to 100. Red lights seem like they take hours to change to green and even on the freeway, it's still hot as all get out.

Wisconsin Winters can be long. It may be especially long this year having to put away a new to me GoldWing & Suzuki Burgman Trike.

Sitting out on the patio in the hot tub makes winter a bit more tolerable.

This ................. Otoh, I am a short drive north of there up by Hillsboro. not much difference. If i had my choice, I'd have a winter home in the valley, inland far enough to not be affected by hurricanes. Summer digs up around Red lodge, MT. I never tire of wandering around the rocky mountain states.
