Mitzie and I have ridden Scooters for Years also, and took Trips to the Smokies on 50cc Ruckus, and Elite 110cc Honda Scooters...here are a few Pics...the thick white, full coverage clouds are on the Foothills Parkway...so thick, looked like You could walk on em'....even the Locals had never seen this...due to Trike prices, we have since gotten rid of the Scooters......
....just a little somethin' "different".....but they have wheels, so they gota' be FUN...!!!!!

Thanks for sharing this . Wonderful photos also!! It looks like much fun was had
We were in the Black Hills (South Dakota) last month. We were approached by a young man on a yellow Chinese built bike. We were at an exit ramp near Spearfish, SD. He asked for directions to Deadwood. I told him to follow us. No worries. Off we went. If I got over 55 he could not keep up. When he caught up to us in Deadwood we chatted. He was riding a 250CC (15HP) bike. Traveling from Seattle WA. to Minneapolis MN. He said it wasn't fast but he was having a good time. He had already been over two mountain ranges (helmet cam and all) and was now close to his final destination. During our last conversation he made one statement that I applaud him for. He said. " I am riding what I own"! I wish I had taken a picture of this determined young man!!

Lots of fun riding the scooters. No need to have big machines to do that either thou I have to admit that since having my Venture I do love the ride. There is a price to pay owning it compared to scooters or other smaller bikes.
I know when I was much younger I never gave much thought about what I rode. Just hopped on and took off if I had a trip to go on.
Glenn I too commend that young fellow riding what he has and enjoying every mile he took.
As it's been said many a time -- It's not what you ride but that you do.

Thats whats nice about being open minded like the members of this forum. You can enjoy anything on 2 or 3 wheels.

Back in the Day wife and i rode a fully loaded 450 Honda (2 up ) to Cape Cod 200 miles one of our many over 200 mile trips ( we had saddle bags full of clothes ) my friend on a 250 Yamaha joined us . We made it back and forth and never gave it a thought . BACK in THE DAY they were decent bikes the world was filled with under 500 cc bikes ( 1970) When the 750 Honda 4 came out We cried "What are they doing , putting car engines in bikes now" <LOL>
Apparently you weren't sleeping even then, skuuter!!!!!
