What are some pros and con's of aqua shields? I'm guessing main purpose is for rain protection. Seldom ride in rain so any other purpose? Do all styles or brands of them support a riders weight?

They do shed some water off but I think they are mostly for looks. I personally like the looks and think they add to the trike. Some are made for weight like Hannigan but not all.
The ones from cSc have a weight bearing of around 800 lb. If i'm not mistaking Correction... tested to hold over 700 lb

They also make the trike look 'Finished', as they blend the trike body to the case guards.

Actually, I think they accomplish several things:
1. Keeps water splash away from rider and passenger
2. Improves dramatically the "finished" appearance of the trike
3. Help prevent damage to rear fender by debris thrown up by front wheel and traffic ahead of trike
4. Aides air flow around lower half of trike thus reducing turbulence, particularly for passenger.
5. Provides alternative foot placement which is far more comfortable than any "highway boards" I've used.
Yep, my opinions only.

I am a fan of the floorboards and have them on mine. One issue I ran into recently though on my CSC Viper was that in order to access the lower mounting bolts on the lower cowl and the lower exhaust covers, you have to remove the floorboards. Not a real hard thing to do, it just time consuming when doing some maintenance.
