I wasn't gonna finish my story of the Moonpie disaster of 86. But it was brought up in the 3 word game. And now the Horrible Horrible story started bubbling up in my mind again..It just keeps coming back like a bad stuffed mushroom...
I haven't been back to the Moonpie Cabin since 86...Its a strange place... East of the Delaware River in Sullivan Co. NY. And south of the Ten Mile River.. The land that time and happiness forgot...
No one has ventured to the cabin , The Hard pan farmers in the area of Moonpie cabin won't even talk about it to strangers ... Some when there willing to talk and share a bottle Jose Cuervo with you will tell of a tangent smell of gun power mixed with the sweet smell of Moonpie emanating from Moonpie cabin...And then theres the haunting sounds of Gun shoots' Falling spent casings and broken glass drifting down on foggy nights from Moonpie cabin...
Some day maybe some brave soul' Surely not me... Will make the pilgrimage to the Moonpie cabin. So the story can be finally told..
Or'' Maybe Somethings are better left undisturbed and untold about the winter of 86 at Moonpie Cabin ...
