Except these are parts that have been around for a long time. The front fender trim is a classic example. The one with the rubber piece in it will fit as well. Notice the rear fender tip light is missing on the '17 touring bikes ? Guess what. The hole is still there in the '17 fender and the plug is there at the back of the taillight housing. I think your wrong ' Its not that they never tried , It just that the braintrusts at Design aren't capable of handling a screwdriver let alone installing a newly design part..
