Blue Knight do accept trikes and riders, no problems here...there was 10 Tri Glides at this years International Convention in Billings Montana...nice showing for the TG's...several other trikes there too. I guess around 15 trike total, mostly Harley or Gold Wings...

I think most people are missing the point, probably not on here though, that riding a m/c whether 2 or 3 wheels is still riding. The mfgr is immaterial, the clothing is immaterial and the wearing of a helmet or not is immaterial. It's all biking and it's all fun. That's why I ride, I have other transportation but I love to ride. My trike enables me to continue riding into the foreseeable future. A biker is a biker is a biker and if they don"t wave or are not friendly they would be that way no matter what the circumstance. Be proud you ride and forget the jerks.

We belong to GWRRA and no one cares we ride a trike. Though that might change when I sell my GW trike. Due to medical issues, I cant ride the "seat" a motorcycle has. Even after putting a 1100.00 Day-Long seat on. So, we are opting for a new VW trike instead. Seating is A LOT different on those trikes.

Personally I can't conceive of anyone criticizing that move, Duane! If they are real friends, they'll just be glad you found a great way to stay out there riding with them!!!!!

I'm a member of the "Canadian X Riders" Group, affiliated with VTX Owners Associaton in the U.S.A. Our creed is "It's not what you ride, it's that you ride". So far most of the responses I've heard from my group has been positive... you might wanna try there. Chumbly-

you guys either live in areas with an extraordinary amount of douchebags or are a little sensitive about the trike thing. who gives a $hit what anybody thinks? I have never EVER received criticism nor been looked down upon for riding my ride. I am a patched member of an MC and have never felt ostracized nor made to feel like any less of a patch holder or rider because of my trike, either by my brothers, other MCs nor the riding public as a whole.

Most of the time I ride tail on my group rides, but that is more of a safety issue for the group as a whole.

I ride a rewaco and belong to GWRRA ( OR-I ) as an associate (not a wing lol)
and also ride with portland, oregons oldest m/c group which only has 2 trike members and mine makes 3, and have never been put down for a trike, most of the 2 wheelers I ride with just hammer the twisties and I just can't quite keep up but I always catch them in the straight aways, but who cares, its that we all ride something and have fun doing it. Thats what counts

I am a member full patch North Shore Riders MC. I and one other member ride trikes. When I first joined as an Prospect and then an associate member I stayed at the back as tailgunner. After being patched I began riding in what ever position I fell into as th ride began, usually about 20-30 members every Wednesday evening. And we have long rides on weekends. Well I was getting the hand wave by the two wheelers to back off so they could get in front and at times at a red light some two wheelers rode up beside me and asked me to move over so that they could get in front of me. This went on for a short while. At the next full meeting I told the club that aside from the President, road guards, ride captains no one is to make me move out of the way. I rode more miles in the 60's than they have ridden in their lives. If they have any objections speak now or speak after the meeting. End of story. Hold your mud and ride your ride. If you cannot ride with the bikers then you are not yet a biker, 2 or 3 wheels.

I'm a member of BK KY II and life member of HOG. If anyone objected to my trike I would tell them to take a leap ( cleaning it up)..I ride what I want, brand, style etc...unless they want to buy it for me, them I may ride what they want, but I don't kiss anyone's ass....not with motorcycles, cars or anything else.

Around here most 2 wheelers don't want to acknowledge that trikers even exist. I got my Valk a few weeks ago, and 2 wheelers love me now. It's still me, just 2 wheels instead of 3. How ridiculous...... Yesterday a small group of HD riders crossed in front of me while I was stopped at a light. A few of them waved, just like giddy little children (no exaggeration.) Guess the Valk is magical.

I've forgotten about MC clubs. Around here they seem to want to just go and get ice cream/pie/junk food, or get drunk. Gotta watch my weight, and I don't drink and drive ever, period.

As a passive observer of bikers (I'm not one yet), I have seen this "look" of which you speak. I think the "coolness factor" is still there on a Tri.

i don't think there is much related to the machine as much as the individual on the machine. if you act like an @$$hole, you're gonna be treated like an @$$hole. if you act intimidated, others are going to see that. this is regardless of what you ride. be confident in who you are and what you ride and others will too.

remember that the world does not revolve around you and the looks that you perceive as directed toward you don't necessarily have anything to do with you. others may just be posturing and trying to look the part. don't sweat it and just ride your ride.

Never had any problems being accepted by the "two wheelers" However, I think some of them get a little jealous when we are in a parking lot and most of the people gather around the trike rather then their bikes.....
