I first want to apologize to the nice members that responded in private messages to some of my questions,I never even found that section till today.I am sorry for not responding back,I never said I was very computer smart.

I have been anxiously waiting the arrival of my new trike,my 05 ultra with a new champion kit.We went to get it today but it had issues I was not satisfied with so I left it for some more tweaking, disappointed but I have confidense that they will make it right.

Now to the original question,it was my understanding that the kit for my bike came with bassini slip on mufflers but to my surprise when I went to get it the stock exhaust was on it,no new mufflers.I have seen the kits advertised with the mufflers, any help appreciated. Thanks

I don't know what mufflers would be needed for he 05 Ultra, but for my 2000 Fat Boy the dealer used Bassami mufflers when he put on the Champion kit. I had Vance & Hines shotgun pipes when it was two wheels, and loved the sound of them, but he told me they would not fit at all with the crossover system needed for the trike. The Bassami work and look fine, but I have to honestly say that I miss that good old V&H rumble!

Thanks Nana.I test rode an 05 ultra from a dealer and it had the Bassani on it,they came with the kit. They are a little tame sounding compared to the VH.

We got the trike home about ten thirty last night, issues taken care of.I have put about 100 miles on so far,a lot to learn but getting better all the time.Looks and rides great

Congrat on the new trike. It will take U about 500 miles or so to get used to the ride and handling of the trike. It will come in time. Enjoy and let everyday be a adventure.

congratulation on your new trike. i think you will like your champion trike. i will be getting a champion kit put on my 08 goldwing and will have it home at the end of march. i know people who have champion trikes and they really like them.

Prior to 2008, the Bassani mufflers were the "standard" muffler shipped with the Champion conversions. (My '07 Ultra has them.)

Beginning in 2008s, Champion started using the stock Harley mufflers.

Awhile back, I inquired about what would be necessary to replace the Bassani mufflers with my stock Harley mufflers. Basically, it's a change in the muffler hanging bracket and the headpipes. My understanding is it involves roughly $200 in parts.

I believe Champion uses Bassini but I had Roadhouse slip-ons put on by the dealer/installer for me. They sound real nice with a nice low rumble. Much better that the stock. Ken
