Changing rear shocks ???

I was reading in the manual on changing the rear shocks on my wife's 2010 Tri Glide and it say's to remove the body. It seems there would be an easier way. I have not looked under there yet. Anyone had to do this ?

Removing the body is simple it only has six bolts holding it on. Takes about 10 minutes. If you don't have a service manual phone your dealer and get him to photo copy you that page

<font color="#333333">During our testing, we have switched out the shocks on my Tri-Glide so many times I've lost count.</font><br />
<br />
<font color="#333333">We do NOT remove the body.</font><br />
<br />
<font color="#333333">We just pull the wheel, remove the top and bottom shock bolts, and then bolt the new shock on, then repeat on the other side.</font><br />
<br />
<font color="#333333">WAY easier than pulling the body. <img src="images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" /><br />

Thanks Gerald , I have taken the body off before and you right it's not a big deal. Just seems like a big deal for replacing shocks. I have to pull the wheels anyway to replace the brake pads.
