I can only remember seeing my daddy frightened once. We lived in Borger, he was driving home from Stinnett when a dust storm enveloped our Studebaker. I was sitting directly behind him and saw the hair on the back of his neck standing up. I was 5 and really thought my daddy was without a question the bravest, smartest person alive so I remember it well.

They are intimidating - especially if you are caught outside in one such as you guys were. The worst one I have seen here, I was working downtown, we saw it coming - it looked just like this picture - when it hit it was dark enough for the street lights to come on for a little while. They do obscure the sunlight quite a bit. As such, I’m still looking for a house in the hill country - tired of this mess....

We woke up to 36* with 32mph gusts, wind chill 26*, heavy clouds for 1/2 the day....BRRRR! Finally got up to 56* with sun. Supposed to be in low 90’s tomorrow....go figure!

The last 3 pictures were taken at Big Bend in the spring. It's a long way from Kerrville to there. Big Bend looks like a totally different place in the fall.
