Remember the “hi” greeting on the highway men used to do on the rural roads in Texas? They would raise 1 finger or sometimes the whole palm slightly off the top of the steering wheel of their pickup as they passed. Haven’t seen this much in the last 15-20 years...guess that generation has passed on.

Well they still wave here too but this is small town area. The jerks from the cities are just starting to migrate here so we too will be see the rude only me thing that is rampant now.

I am not sure how to interpret that remark.

Default Well speaking of a Texas girl...

Makenzie Alexis Noland, of Abilene, took her graduation photos at Gator Country, which is located near Beaumont. The NBC affiliate in Beaumont reports that Noland spent the summer as an intern at the gator farm and apparently became friends with "Big Tex," the gator she took the photos with.

Noland is currently studying wildlife ecology at Texas A&M and is expected to graduate in 2019.

You go Makenzie! Click image for larger version.

Just hope she doesn't become gator food. Wildlife is wild and totally unpredictable.

I have to agree wildlife is unpredictable, but this Texas gal is fearless.

Think that was the year we got 9 inches here with 24 inch drifts. We get some crazy weather here but prior to this the most I'd ever seen here was 4 inches. But then I haven't lived here all my life. Spent 25 in California but was so glad to get out of there and back to Texas.
