Watched this last night.
Was pretty interesting.
Whether their presentation is the truth of what happened to her or not, it seemed reasonable enough to be the truth.
I would have pushed the Japanese records for info from their side...maybe not outright asked them... as I'm sure they would deny all...but sent someone in, incognito, to go through their war records..on the pretense of looking for other info.
Friday's, for the Fall lineup, just aren't going to be the same. Last Man Standing-cancelled. Hawaii 5-0 with no Hawaiians. Blue Bloods will be the only constant.
I'm rooting for the rock!
CBS series starting tonight about an asteroid coming to kill us all. Critics haven't been kind:
...none of the characters in “Salvation” give the audience much of a reason to cheer for humanity’s preservation. Everyone is grim, dour or in some cases, unreasonably calm about facing the end of the world.
seeing a lethal flash of light up the sky might actually lead many of us to breathe a sigh of relief.
Most of the time Salvation, ..., is predictable.
The dialogue is clunky, and it’s often hard to imagine the broadly sketched characters making the choices they do.
It's no wonder Grace Parks has left Hawaii 5-0. Her husband (in the series) is now a principal character in Salvation.
Interesting concept and drama abounds. Will watch since Summer TV is thin this year.
Daniel Kim's relationship to "Kono" (Grace Parks) is Cousin. Ian Anthony Dale played Kono's husband and is now a Government official in Salvation.
The critics were critical with the series launch, but there's a lot of summer left!!
Ian is lying to his mistress, and his mistress found out - he may not last long...
Filling the void left by Fear The Walking Dead's vacation....started watching Grantchester on Sunday night. Picked up on episode 4. Have seen the first two seasons. Then, came the first of a three part mini series, Remember Me. A ghost story starring none other than Michael Palin of Monty Python fame. Sunday nights will be ok til FTWD gets back!
Well we took our son and one of his buddies to see the new Spiderman flick For those of you whom are die-hard superhero movie fans this is a must see. It ties into the last Avengers move and has some easter eggs for some of the upcoming Marvel movies. As always, Stan Lee is looking mighty good for his cameo
Just read that Ian Anthony Dale is returning to Hawaii 50 and is being upped to a regular. So, he has not left the series, but is working hard doing Salvation in the off season.
Going to have some creative writing eliminating Kono for the show and having her husband get more air time.
It will be interesting to see what they come up with. Fans of Park will be happy to hear that she'll have an appearance in the coming-of-age comedy Public Schooled along with co star Judy Greer later this year.
So anyone else watching this new series Midnight Texas? ... Michele is a big Supernatural fan since it's premier. This reminds me of that show...great another show she'll get hooked on. Where does one find the time to watch so much t.v.
Watch only evening tv.
Not finding anything worth watching right now - all re-runs.
Don't have all the fancy movie, HBO, etc products.
Thank goodness for the "Pickers" and HGTV - had missed a lot of episodes that are now re-runs.
AND....thank goodness for TrikeTalk !!!!
We've been watching Shooter on Tuesdays, but Ryan Phillippe has broken his leg and the season of 10 episodes has been cut to eight and no one knows if there will be a third season!
Thanks for bringing up Midnight Texas. Supernatural stuff is some of her favorites. Mondays has been Preacher (bizarre as it is) and now, Midnight Texas.
This has been all summer fillers. Waiting for the Fall return of things we normally watch.
