I had to get mine through the company. It was a lot easier than drilling out the wheel and it didn't take very long to get them in the mail.

The 90 degree valve stems are at all the parts stores as well as most motorcycle shops. If you are mechanically inclined, pull your front tire off and take it to a m/c shop and they will drill out the hole and install the 90 degree ($10 valve ). This valve will allow you to check or add air much easier. Just make sure that the valve stem is parallel with the wheel so it clears the brake caliper.

Call Thoroughbred Motorsports at 903-842-5065 and let them know what you need. They sent mine out the same day but that was a year ago.

The stock valve stem is a pain in the butt and it is worth the few bucks to get a standard valve stem (90degree) installed. Checking air and adding if necessary is much easier.

Hey guys (rocket1lf / tomg), did anyone mention what the hole size was before it was reamed out by chance? Do you know what the reamed out hole size is?

I took mine into a wheel shop and they drilled it out to fit a standard 90deg stem.

Not a new thread I know. Unfortunately, those who have mentioned it are correct and Motor Trike does not have these valve stems in stock. We are working on getting an order placed with the vendor, but at this point in time we don't have a lead time estimate for them.

In addition to the comments about modifying the rim to fit a standard valve stem (which is a great alternative); the most common cause for a leaking front valve stem is the rubber "seals" that sandwich the wheel to seal. With time they tend to dry rot a bit and cause air leaks. You can remove the valve stem, pull the seals off & have them matched with a comparable replacement through a local bearing/seal shop and in many times with a Napa/Carquest based parts store where the parts folks know how to find something without having to know a vehicle.

Just putting the information out there to help a bit.

larry j, If you order a new valve stem you might think about ordering two like I did so you have another replacement when needed the next time.

I found the stems on the Prestige web site and they were listed at $1.95 each, the kicker was because the order was less than $50. they wanted to charge a $30. small order fee. I tried several years ago and also recently. Richard is right, the outer seal deterioates and causes it to leak. I ran a faucet washer for several years.
