Have a great ride.
I owe my brother BIG TIME for the help he gave me when I moved from Colorado to Alabama. Time to pay the piper - he's moving from Maryland to Indiana, and has already arrived in IN. Truck should arrive tomorrow. So I am dropping the wife off at the airport tomorrow morning early (she has a business trip) and getting on the trike for the trip to southern Indiana. It's a touch under 300 miles one-way, and I'll probably take the interstate just to get there in good time. I'll take the more entertaining way home on Monday.
This will be the test run before our riding vacation later this month. I believe I have the ergonomics taken care of with the wing. I put some risers on, which raised the handlebar grips around 1 3/4 inches. Then I added a rider's backrest to help me keep my posture while riding. On the short runs I have made this week since getting it all done, I am very pleased with the results. I will know better after the trip this weekend.
I bought a t-bag style bag from Judy's Leather in Lynchburg about 4 years ago at a great price. On the way home, the wife and I rode the Suzuki Intruder 1400 through the first end-over-end, and came off during the second. Bike was totaled. Took a year to fully recover and find/buy another bike. I was never comfortable enough on it to take a long trip. So, this trip will be the maiden voyage for the bag. I will put it on the passenger seat, tie it down with bugie cords, and have a nice leather suitcase for the weekend trip. I think that beats having to haul the trailer just to have room for everything I need and want to take.
I'm done rambling. Everybody enjoy your weekend. See you Tuesday.
Have a great ride.
