    The front cylinder by the nature of its placement gets some cooling that blocks out the rear cylinder. The front cylinder is just sitting there at idle so I don't think it is experiencing any increased stresses because it is not under a load? The rear jug doesn't get cold in the brief time that the EITMS is active unless you are at a dead stop for a long time I would suspect.

    I agree with Kevin that there is absolutely no place to find out how things are being set up in the ECU in terms of what gets controlled and when in Harley's thermal management scheme.

    I disable it because I don't like the sound, don't like the way it feels, and I don't think it is doing the crank any favors.

    If I did not have the heat under control via other strategies, I might leave it enabled to reduce felt heat for the passenger.

    Kevin, For the seemingly limited efficacy of the EITMS, I don't like the shake, rattle and roll caused by the activation of the system. After reading your post, I have decided to turn my EITMS off as I infrequently ride with a passenger and the catalytic converter is aft enough on the 2017 that I don't feel much heat from the head pipe. Especially since I have those wonderful DK Custom floor board extenders which place my boots/legs in a very comfortable position.

    Default LoveJugs + DK oil Cooler

    I thought I would add my 2 cents worth. I have a 2014 Tri-Glide-103ci w stage 1 upgrade. I live at 5000 ft and ride up over 9000 ft on a regular basis. I was a A&P mechanic as well as a Army Reserve Light Wheeled Vehicle Instructor until I was retired at age 60 (SGM by then). Also worked for IBM for 31 years.

    When I bought my TG In Jan 14, I was concerned that to make the heads water cooled, they did not install an oil cooler. I bought the Love-Jugs but since I installed an Oil Temp gauge on my dash I did not see the improvement at highway speeds. They work great at slow speeds and traffic jams. Colorado is higher and cooler so that is what I think is the reason. I recently installed the DK Oil cooler and the remotely located oil filter. My oil temp has dropped 25-30 degrees. I had to modify the brackets to remount the Love-Jugs and now have the best of both worlds. My oil is cooled and my cylinder heads can be cooled when needed. I am attaching 3 photos. #1 is the DK Oil Cooler & Love-Jugs. #2 is the DK Oil Filter relocation kit (I specifically asked the dealer for the black oil filter). Photo #3 is my switches. #1 switch is the stock switch for the stock driving lights. #2 switch is for my new DK Stealth lights. #3 switch is for the Love-Jugs and my Road Zeppelin seat (using Y connector from HD PN 70264-94A which plugs into the Dash Panel Kit from HD, PN 71400105) #4 switch is a momentary on switch which triggers a relay to operate my remote garage opener. #5 is a dummy button. #6 triggers a relay to enable my Gerbings connectors for myself and passenger.

    I mention the switches because some of you asked about connecting the Love-Jugs. The connector for the LJs plugs directly into the harness you get with the HD kit which plugs into the P&A connector J4 under the left side cover. You can then switch the fans using ACC switch #3 which operates a relay that can handle the current required by the LJs. I added the Y connector for my Zeppelin seat because I don't need to adjust it at the same time the LJs are running.
