Tiffany, Olive, Daisy, “The Three Musketeers” together again.
I own three versions of this unit....one for Sportsters, one for Softails and one for Touring models.
I have used all 3...one time each. They definitely work as advertised. However, I found the process to be tedious and have not continued to use them.
They were purchased 4-5 years ago when we were considering being a dealer for the product.
If you want to change ALL the oil when you make an oil change, this will get the job done.
For me, it is not important enough to do a complete change, so even though I have the tool, I simply do not want to go thru the hassle.

I use the Scavenger. Great idea in my book. Yes, it's a bit messy, but a minor inconvenience. Having D-K's oil filter relocation kit eliminates the mess down the front of the motor, moving the filter to under the passenger floorboard is a great plan.
I work on fire trucks and ambulances all week long, you should see the gyrations I have to go through to change oil in some of the pump transmissions in the trucks.
Any time spent wrenching on the Tri-Glide is like playtime for me...
I tried using it on my 16 Tri Glide but the fitting with the hose that goes into the quart oil container for flushing the remaining 24 to 32 oz of old oil would not screw into the hole in the oil pan, it is the one next to the oil drain, I unscrewed the bolt and it seemed like the Scavanger fitting went up against a solid object, I emailed them about the problem and they sent me various sized O-rings and I haven't tried it yet but doubt it will work

Harleys spin on filter does a good job.Filtration is not an issue on modern H.D.s.That little bit of oil left in the circuit wont make a difference. If one is really concerned better to spend the money on an oil analysis. My '76 shovel head came with a goofy intank fiber filter-thats it.A writeup in Easyriders showed how to make a remote filter mount using a spin on filter. In all these years Ive only done two top ends on her and have yet to need a bottom end.Lucky? Maybe.

Well maybe you’re right, I relocated the oil filter underneath the left passenger foot rest on my Tri Glide, the oil filter is recleanable using brake cleaner, my problem is not getting the fitting that goes in next to oil drain hole far enough into the hole in order to screw it in, feels like it hits something solid after it goes in the hole about an inch, guess I could try taking the O-ring off the the fitting and try to screw it in to see if the O-ring is the problem but somehow I don’t think it is
One suggestion I read was after the oil was drained putting two quarts of fresh oil in the engine and running it again for a few minutes and then draining the engine again to get a good flush of the engine
Wonder if anyone else has had the same problem with Scavanger oil change kit? I have a 2016 Tri Glide
