All you have to do is alternate which hand you use to slap the back of his helmet, that should deep those muscles loose..let me know now that works. LOL
Haven't posted much recently 'cause every spare moment we get that is sunny we're out on "Sybil" (hubby dubbed her that!) We are going on our first long trip this weekend and I am excited! Found that the old back side starts to fall asleep after an hour or so. Any thoughts on how to combat that or do I just have to deal.....thanks and glad to hear from ya'll again!

I use a fleece on trips and that helps a lot! Several folks have gotten a gel pad from Walmart and highly recommend that. I know there are also air pillows, but don't know where to find those.

You really have to make sure you have good seats and covers that breathe, then you just need to build up your endurance. If you have a distraction, such as taking pix (and I'm assuming you're the co-rider), you won't be aware of how long you're bouncing up and down. We rode 20 hours straight (honest!) the last day/night of our trip, and my behind was okay. The rest of me was exhausted, but my butt was fine! (BTW, ours is "Black Mariah," and the trailer is "Joe," based on the song, "They Call the Wind Mariah.")
I wish that I could ride more than an hour at a time. Everytime we go on a ride my butt starts getting real tired about an hour to an hour and a half. I have tried a lot of different seats. I find that rotating thru the seats helps.
I have resorted down to desperate measures! I now am trying to increase my butt size to spead the weight out more. How about some feed back on this trial. I know that it must work because most of the trikers that I see are praticing it!
Have fun on your ride.

Thanks everyone! I'm gonna try the fleece, Nana, thanks for the tip. And, Thirdwheel...I WILL let you know how that works! As for the increasing the butt size? Oh boy, THAT is not an option!!!

Hope the Ride goes Great.....be sure to post some Pics.....:wtg:
Check out the website American Motorcycle Specialties: Motorcycle Gel Seat Pads, Cruiser Luggage and Covers. They have super gel and foam seat. I have them for our bike and trike and they are wonderful. A gel and memory foam sandwich with a tacky under-surface to keep from slipping and a sheepskin upper layer. Used it on a 3200 mile trip and it was fantastic. You can alternate with and without the seat on your regular seat.
