I have no desire to live in a place where you can walk on lakes. I would be terrified of falling through the ice and freezing to death.

My idea of ice fishing is pulling a package out of the freezer.

Two guys I knew - one was the son of one of my bosses, and the second lived across the street from us when he was a kid - was fishing a few years back. The first one went through the ice, the second one jumped in to rescue him. The first one got out, the second not so lucky.

It can be a dangerous world, but it's not as bad as riding trikes and bikes on the road. We know the hazards every time we step out the door...

No ice fishing for me.

We had a monster thunderstorm roll thru last night...lasted about 8 hours.

But this morning on the ride in, it was sunny...very wet, but sunny and 56*.

I rode my Rhino on our lake Saturday..The ice was over a foot thick, Thick Enough even for Rosie O'Donnell to walk on..

Some folks just don’t understand that a day at the lake chasing flags is like riding for 8hrs at 70* and only stoping to pee and have a smoke.

Left work after dark last night. Wind was gusting up to 30 mph...but it was still in the 50's.

Nice ride home.



This morning it was back in the low 30's. But it's temporary. Will be back in the 50's tomorrow.

Strange morning...

One cager pulled a weird u-turn in the middle of a 35 mph curve, at the same time another cager started driving the wrong way on the road (to get to a mailbox). It was a bit of an obstacle course to get thru their antics.

Then, not a mile later down the 2 lane road, there was a car traveling between 30 and 40 in a 55 mph zone, plus weaving like drunk at 8 am this morning. Took a while to get past them safely.

(This is a road I travel almost everyday, and it is not unusual to not see a single other vehicle on this road.)

BUT, Before all that! This morning THREE of my Four key fobs had dead batteries. ALL of them were working 3 days ago, at least one of them was working yesterday.

Very weird that all three would fail within a couple of days of each other.

I put fresh batteries in all four...and went on to work.

Must be a full moon.. of course, around my part of the world its a full moon everyday...the twits are always behind the wheel terrorizing the rest of us. Plus the wind spirits mess with the static electricity and screw up everything.

Be careful out there and thank you for the reminder I asked my Bride to pick up a couple new 2032's to be installed when winter cover comes off. And I pray that is soon I am so much missing that ride, and she misses using her new Challenger R/T
