Bike to Trike - Dropped off Wednesday Morning

New to this board starting tonight. Just in time to announce my Bike to Trike conversion starting Wednesday, 1 Jul. CSC Cobra decked out except for the ground effects. Pictures will follow.

I've ride a yellow wing since August 03; 37K plus on her. We felt it was time although there are no problems riding the 2 wheeler.

Looking forward to meeting others and dicussing trike

Well it's at the installer. Dropped it off this morning and will have it back about next Wednesday. Mechanics need vacation also so they are running a little behind. Cant wait.

Welcome Patriot.

This is a great group of Trike riders. I look forward to seeing your completed CSC conversion.

Are you a Medical Doctor?

Welcome to the board. Just remember it takes about 500 miles to feel really good with the handling and ride. Also remember U have fenders now. so those steel post at gas stations can jump out at U. :p Enjoy the trike and post some pictures when U can.

Fenders

Also remember U have fenders now. so those steel post at gas stations can jump out at U.

Your caution reminds me of my ex-wife and her trying to drive my 1 ton dually pickup truck.

I had left the truck parked in the driveway looking out towards the street. She took my truck and made an immediate right turn out of the drive. Right fender strikes the concrete pillar supporting the mailbox (which has never been there before ), crushes the right rear fender.

She then goes through a MacDonald's burger drive up. Those yellow posts are there for a reason, she takes off the left rear fender. All within the space of an hour.

I took her keys away, she never was allowed to drive that truck again :(

So, it is a good admonition to remember that those fenders are indeed attached to your bike now.

I've have a co-worker that calls me doctor and I don't know why. My dogs may think I'm a doctor because I council them all the time and it seems to mellow them out. The answer is no, I'm not a doctor.

I think I'm going to like this site. I really like to hear about all the trikes and since I'm coverting mine to CSC, I'm particularlly interested in all the comments about the Cobra.

After careful consideration, I almost bought a DFT but ended up with the CSC. It's been a month since I ordered the kit and it goes in tomorrow morning and should be completed by mid-next week. I'm biting at the bit.

The company doing the install is Bad Boys Custom in Dassel, MN. They have a very good reputation. Their labor for the install is a good price as well as providing an upgrade on the rear wheels. The directional wheels provided by CSC are ok, but the upgrade by Bad Boys are beautiful.

Anyhow, I'm excited.:)

The reminders about fenders is worth it's weight in gold. I know all about fenders. I launched our boat and my young son takes the truck and trailer up the hill and parks it on the side of the road. After a couple of hours, I retrieve the truck and trailer, back the trailer into the water and load the pontoon. After pulling it out of the water, I begin to secure to boat, then I see the right trailer fender is just a little "pushed" in. Now I know I didn't do it, so I ask my son if he "noticed" anything when parking the trailer. What is the young teenager going to say? "No, I didn't feel or hear anything." So I know perfectly well what can happen. But a little reminder is good. Too much invested to screw it up.

I got a call from Bad Boys Custom and I'm disappointed; the trike will not be ready till Friday. But then, I don't want them to rush, I want a great install. I didn't ask why the delay, it just mean that much. I can't wait!!!

Well at least they are keeping u advised. Would be a bummer to show up to get it and it is not ready. U have the right attitude. Good luck ur time will come.

It's gonna be great!

I have a CSC Daytona on an 06 HD Ultra that was done by Bad Boys. Great people - Great work!

Gotta emphasize the fenders though. Don't know what else you tried but the CSC is a bit wider that either the DFT or Lehman. Just remember the spread eagle...finger tips to finger tips...that's the space you will need.

Enjoy!

Dave

Dave, so far, good people. My trike hould be done today. I'm hoping to pick it up later today if I can find a couple of people on this board to fill in for me today.............I'm teaching 747 pilots their annual training. I've already told them I need to be out of here at 3 pm.

There was a 2 day delay in delivery. I don't know why, but I didn't want to rush them. For sure, if I can't get to the shop today, tomorrow morning I will there at 9:30; they open at 10 am.:)

Patriot, I can fill in for U since U need off. I have never flown a 747 -----buT I stayed at Holiday Inn Express last night :p Just let me know what time to be there.

Ride safe and enjoy the new trike.

That's close enough for me. Dogs never lie.

"Doctor" it is.

It's here. We picked up the trike Friday evening. No pictures yet. We have been running since we got it home. I haven't had time to give it a good cleaning and today will be the same. However, we will be at a lake today and will try to get some good shots.
