Suzuki Bouelvard C50 Tramp Question or 2

A friend of mine has a smaller Suzuki Boulevard 2 wheeler (I think C40?) She went to get it out and the battery is dead, it's leaking gas, carburetor clogged. That scares me. I'm at the mercy of the dealer and knowledge of others to help me keep my trike in good condition. I keep mine on a battery tender (although I ride at least once every month of the year), keep Stabil in the tank in the winter, keep it maintenanced at the dealer. She says she should have drained her gas tank for winter. Should I be doing this? Does mine have a carburetor that can clog? Anything I'm doing wrong or should be doing? I like to ride miles and most of the time by myself so I need to keep it in tip top condition (don't want to be stranded by myself). I really am embarassed to ask the dealer if it has a carburetor.

Fairly certain the c50 is fuel injected .. no carb.

My advice would be to keep the tank fuel ... condensation its the issue in the winter ... stabilization keeps the fuel "fresh".

Neglect is the curse of death on any bike/trike. Riding it once a month is a good thing.

Jolie, I have a C50 trike also, a 2003 Volusia. I believe that up to and including 2004 models were carburetors. Suzuki changed to fuel injection in 2005 and changed the name to Boulevard. Same styling just different fuel system. Ride safe and enjoy every mile.

Jolie, I had an 07 C50 trike, and it was fuel injection, not carb. I kept fuel in it year round (garaged in winter), and never had a fuel problem. If you're riding it at least monthly, you should be fine.
