Valve Stems

I have a 2012 Goldwing with a Hannigan Reverse trike kit added, the wheels Hannigan supplies are American Racing wheels and the valve stems come out at an angle (I do not believe 90 degree angle stems will fit). I would like to install TPMS on my trike and would like to know if all metal valve stems are the same, diameter wise. Currently I have a pair of aluminum threaded straight stems and would like to know if they can be used. I would rather not have to dismount the tire and pull the rubber valve stem to find that the aluminum ones I have do not fit. Thanks in advance

I have seen the .453 number referred to before , is that the actual dia of the hole in the rim. The aluminum stems I have that have a locking nut that screws down the length and has a shoulder measuring .422 and at the base of the stem they have an "O" ring that is slightly larger than .453 in the area of .480. Will these work?

Sorry ... I'm not familiar with your wheel and don't know what valve stems fit it. But do consider this. Sometimes a valve stem is installed making airing the tire difficult. Be sure that whatever valve stem you go with, putting various air-chucks onto the valve stem to air the tire, and to check it's pressure with an air gauge is easy.

Sounds like they for sure fit the hole as it should be 0.453" unless someone ran a drill through them .... (0.453" is just a hair over 7/16" which is under 1/2". .... the other size being 0.625" is 5/8" or well over 1/2") ....

.... and GWG makes a good point.
