Hannigan 180 front end kit

I have the 180 kit on the front of my 2012 GenII 1800 and love it!

I did just replace the front tire due to getting a flat spot on the tire from the PO letting it sit for 3 years in one spot. Other than a flat spot, the tire had close to 20,000 miles and still looked new. I think the ride and handling (corners) is great with the 180 kit. Per Hannigan engineers, the front end was test in a 25MPH curve at 65 and it held ground every time. I have done many 25MPH curves at 50 - 55 MPH and it was a breeze. The ride was a little harsh till I deactivated the anti dive unit by putting a washer in it. Since then, the ride is much better.

The only thing that I still cant get use to after riding it for a year, is with the added 3" distance between the forks, you do feel the deflection in the steering when hard cornering. Nothing dangerous, just different.

And yes, The rear Brimbo brakes on the GenII SUCK!!!!! They wouldn't lock up the rear tires if you stood on the brake and Im replacing pads every 6000 miles........ those little 1" x 1" pads are useless!!

Let me be clear.. I love my Hannigan kit on my 2012 Wing. That being said, I have also had questions that Hannigan never seemed in a hurry to answer.. The calipers are so small the rear brake pads do not last long at all. Also, I had to have the Progressive springs removed since the ride was so rough it broke my front fender. When I posted on this site about why Hannigan put such puney brakes on the rear they never answered, even with several reminders. When I got them on the phone they simply said that the brakes are motorcycle brakes. Hell, I knew that. Nothing looks as good as my Hannigan kit, ( IMHO) and I would probably buy another one but I wish the company was a little bit more forth coming.

I have the same question as you did, front end is to harsh over bumps in the road and stiffness has broken both brackets holding front fender on. I have purchased both stock springs from honda and plan on changing springs out myself. Is there anything else i need to do. and did you have to adjust rear springs Thanks waneely
