Welcome to TrikeTalk, SirF! We've got several trike builders on here...... I'm sure you'll get some good feedback
Hello guys,
Im new to the bike scene, ive loved bikes since i was little and love all things customizable when it comes to them.
Im wanting to create a Reverse Trike or 'Tadpole' using a normal standard motor bike. The difficulty lies with the front end conversion. I wondering if there is a way to use the front of a quad bike and use this but im worried about weight and engine size limitations etc
If there is anyone who can advise or help i'd very much appreciate it
Thanks

I have a friend in Ind that built this from a crashed 1500 he found in a wrecking yard. It is one of the most complicated reversed trike I have ever come a cross. I am not sure what was used for parts.
Yeah i can see that he's built his own steering rack looks awesome, im not the most mechanically minded person in the world though haha
Although you couldn't give it to me, if I ever really wanted a non-Canadian tadpole trike (two in front, one in rear), then I would likely opt for a customized Hannigan Roadster front end:

They sell it as a "super quad," but I can't see any reason why one couldn't just convert the front and leave the single wheel drive system in place. Hmmmm, don't think their quad would be street legal in a number of states -- four wheels in that configuration would be an automobile in many jursidictions.
Has anyone ever done it I wonder??

Thanks Bob that concept looks awesome although speaking of that idea, one of my engineer mate suggested getting a quad and swapping the engine over from a Yamaha R6 and fitting a rear swing arm, he reckons 150-160mph tops so happy days haha
I have seen a write-up on such a trike here:

2 many turn out looking like CARS .... a lot of the ones on the list either didn't open or went to something different.
