Someone said summer?

Hey Trikers!

Built a new 2" hitch receiver and added a new wheelie wheel. Had a few simple pinstripes from Mr. Von Dago. Also, put on some new Lava Rock header wrap. What a difference in heat buildup. Added a Leather bag up front for Some lead ingots as needed when carrying loads behind the trike. I will put up a few pics of my new hitch mounted rack when I get a wet day and decide to check its fit.

Ride safe guys and gals!

Always been a fan or real pinstripes. Went to a Van-In ( a somewhat hippie-type gathering for custom vans before you could buy them already built) many years ago and met up with a guy - long hair, beard, top hat - who went throughout the campground with his little red wagon full of his paints, etc. He would stop and chat for a while (meaning drink our beer and eat our food) and offer to pay with a little pinstriping on our vans. He would continue striping as much as we wanted and then would accept cash tips for his payment. He spent an evening with our little group of 8 vans and then wandered on out the next morning to his next customers. Never saw von Dutch again, but his talents carried him well beyond a little red wagon and working for food and tips.

One side note - I was most impressed by his approach to adding his art to a van. Guys would spend some time telling him what they want done to their machines, and as often as not he would tell them "I won't do that." If it didn't agree with his vision for what was to be done, he wouldn't touch it. I scored some great work when I just told him to 'do what needs to be done' - and then left him alone.

Sorry, I ramble. But those were the good old days before decals and machine-cut pinstripes.

Anyway, great ride and it continues to get better. ThumbUp

Beautiful machine.

I was thinking of something similar to your wheelie bar.

Is it rigid? I has trying to figure out how to put some spring in mine.:Joker3:

From the looks of it, it has a spring system attached to the wheel itself.
